Upgraded Personnel Selector in Log Training
- What: The personnel selector in Log Training has been upgraded to a new, standardized component that supports multi-select functionality, improved search capabilities, and more consistent behavior. This enhancement replaces the previous selector, making it easier and more efficient to find and select personnel when completing training records.
- Why: The previous personnel selector had limited functionality and inconsistent behavior, making personnel selection less efficient. This enhancement improves usability, streamlines the selection process, and provides a more reliable and consistent experience.
-
How:
- Navigate to Log Training and open a training record.
- Use the updated Personnel Selector to search for and select personnel.
- Select multiple personnel at once using the new Multi-Select functionality.
- Enter a full or partial name in the Search field to quickly locate specific personnel.
- Note: This enhancement currently applies to the Log Training workflow. Other areas of the platform may receive similar updates in future releases.
-
Use Case: When documenting a completed training drill, a training coordinator can now select multiple participating personnel at once rather than adding each individual separately. Users can also quickly locate specific personnel by entering a partial name in the Search field, reducing the time spent scrolling through lists. This enhancement provides a more efficient and predictable experience when completing training records.
Training Plan–Derived Credential Progress
- What: Enhanced credential progress tracking to ensure credentials linked to a Training Plan consistently reflect Training Plan–derived progress across Manage Credentials, My Credentials, Dashboard Active Credentials, and My Training Plans. Credentials not linked to a Training Plan continue to use their existing progress tracking behavior.
- Why: This improvement provides a more consistent and accurate view of credential progress across the platform, allowing users to reliably monitor completion status regardless of where they access their credentials while preserving existing functionality for credentials not associated with a Training Plan.
-
How:
- Access Manage Credentials, My Credentials, Dashboard Active Credentials, or My Training Plans to view credential progress.
- For credentials linked to a Training Plan, progress is automatically derived from the associated Training Plan.
- Credentials without an associated Training Plan continue to display progress using their existing tracking behavior.
- Note: No additional configuration steps are needed.
-
Use Case: A user working toward a credential associated with a Training Plan can monitor their progress from My Training Plans and see consistent progress information when viewing the same credential through My Credentials or Dashboard Active Credentials. This ensures users have a reliable view of their credential status across different areas of the platform, while credentials managed independently of Training Plans continue to function as before.
Training Plan Credit Ledger Now Tracks Completions at the Course Level
- What: The Training Plan Credit Ledger now tracks completions at the course level instead of the class level, providing a more detailed breakdown of earned training hours. Courses associated with multiple Requirement Areas now automatically apply credit to each applicable area. Historical credit values remain unchanged, with legacy class-level entries clearly identified for transparency.
- Why: Previously, training credits were recorded at the class level, making it difficult to identify which individual courses contributed to a member's training hours. Additionally, courses associated with multiple Requirement Areas did not always apply credit to every applicable area, resulting in inaccurate completion percentages. This enhancement improves credit accuracy, visibility, and training progress tracking.
-
How:
- When a member completes a course, the system automatically creates a separate credit ledger entry for each applicable Requirement Area, based on the course, member, and class.
- Administrators can review the Training Plan Credit Ledger to view individual course completions and the hours credited toward each Requirement Area.
- Courses associated with multiple Requirement Areas automatically apply credit to each matching area.
- Historical completions with a one-to-one course-to-area relationship have been migrated to course-level entries without changing previously credited values.
- Historical completions associated with multiple Requirement Areas remain unchanged and are labeled Class-level (legacy). These entries retain their original credited values and will not receive a retroactive course-level breakdown.
-
Use Case: A training administrator reviewing a member's annual training progress can now identify exactly which courses contributed hours toward each Requirement Area. When auditing historical training records, administrators can also distinguish between newer course-level entries and Class-level (legacy) entries while maintaining the integrity of previously earned training credits.
