New Features

Business Phone Number Validation and Drop-Down List options for the field.

1. What: The Business Phone Number can be made required in Field Management > Business Phone > Edit Roles Permissions.
   
   
2. Why: To provide the means to require a Business Phone Number and ability to select "Not Reported" or "Not Applicable" when the number is unknown.
   
   
3. How: Navigate to Admin > Field Management > Business Phone.  Select Edit and enable "Add Option to Use Not Applicable or Not Reported."  Select Edit Roles Permissions and enable Validation Is Required for the Roles desired to make it a required field.
   
   
4. Use Case: The User will have three Options: 1) Enter a 10 digit phone number, 2) Select Not Reported, 3) Select Not Applicable.

Inspection - Bulk Permit Renewal

1. What: We've introduced a new bulk permit renewal feature that enables Fire Department users to efficiently renew multiple permits during an inspection, streamlining the renewal process and reducing manual work.
   
   
2. Why: Streamlined the renewal process using a bulk action, Comprehensive validation system that checks permit type, workflow status, and renewal eligibility.
   
   
3. How:
   
1. Selecting Permits: Access the Permit Table within an inspection, Use row selectors (checkboxes) to choose permits for renewal, Click the new "Bulk Actions" dropdown, Select the "Renewal Submitted" option.
   
2. Renewal Submission:
   • The system validates selected permits against three criteria:
     • Must be automatic permits
     • Must have a "Renewable" workflow type
     • Must be in Approved, Active, or Expired status
   • Review permit details in the confirmation window:
     • Permit type
     • Permit number
     • Expiration date
   • Add optional notes
   • The system automatically records the submitting user
3. Processing:
   • Valid permits are updated to "Renewal Submitted" status
   • Permits are linked to the current inspection

Show Permits - Default Filter is Occupancy Permits

1. What: We've changed the default filter for the Show Permits dropdown in an Inspection to "Occupancy Permits."
   
   
2. Why: Used in conjunction with the bulk Permit Renewal feature above to allow the user to view all Permits linked to an Occupancy while recording your inspection results.
   
   
3. How:
   
1. Default is "Occupancy Permits."
   
2. User options:
   • Inspection Permits - Permits issued for the current Inspection.
     
   • Inspection Series Permits - All Permits issued for the Inspection Series including the Initial Inspection and all Re-inspections.

Edit Photo Captions Before Marking the Inspection as Complete

1. What: We've allowed an Inspector to edit the caption for any photo. 
   
   
2. Why: A user can correct any caption errors (e.g., mislabeled locations or details) without needing to delete and reattach photos or return to the inspection site to retake the picture to add the correct caption.
   
   
3. How: Selecting the photo from the checklist and then select "Edit."  The edit has to be made before the Inspection is Completed.
