New Features

Use GIS Assessor Contact for Invoicing

  1. What: Will automatically use the GIS Assessor Contact and listed address for invoicing purposes.

  2. Why: Useful for clients that imports contacts through GIS Data.

  3. How: Enable on the Invoice Setup > System Options page.

  4. Use Case: As a user, I need all of my automatic invoices associated with an occupancy to be sent to the GIS Contact - Assessor, who is within the contact list of each occupancy record. This ensures invoices reach the correct party responsible for managing assessment details and that the correct billing information is used.

Line Item Refund Processing

  1. What: Line Item Refund Option for Invoice Payments (Manual Payments - Not Stripe)

  2. Why: As a Fire Department Administrator, I want to process refunds by specific line items on an invoice, so that I can issue more precise refunds without manually calculating partial amounts.

  3. How: Invoicing > Open invoice > Refund: To the “Refund Applied”, added a new option “Pay Line Item.”

Automatic Invoicing from Custom Permit Questions

  1. What: Provided ability for a client to create a permit while recording an Inspection and generate an invoice based upon values entered or selected from a Permit Custom Data Field.

  2. Why: Created an integration between permit custom data fields and fee schedule criteria, enabling automated invoice line item generation based on permit-specific information during inspection completion. This feature allows for more precise and dynamic fee calculations based on permit data.

  3. How: Inspection Setup > System Option enabled to Edit Permit, Permit Custom Data Field, (numeric or single select) created, and Invoicing Line Items created.  Invoice Created when an Inspection is Completed.  See KBA for setup details. 

  4. Use Case: Allows a client to create a permit while recording an Inspection and generate an invoice based upon values entered or selected from a Permit Custom Data Field.

Invoice - ACH Debit Payment Processing

  1. What: ACH Debit Payment Processing 

  2. Why: As a user, I need the ability to accept ACH Debits for invoice payments through the First Due Payment Portal, providing customers with an alternative to credit card payments and potentially reducing processing fees. 

  3. How: Upon request for Clients using Stripe, First Due can enable ACH Payments.  If needed, client enters required information and data in their Stripe account to configure.

  4. Use Case: My agency needs the ability to accept ACH Debits for invoice payments through the First Due Payment Portal, providing customers with an alternative to credit card payments and potentially reducing processing fees.

Feature Enhancements

  1. What: Refund Amount field added to Advance Search with seven options for value of the refund.

  2. Why: Client request to allow additional filtering of the Invoice List

  3. How: No setup required.

  4. Use Case: Select one of the options and then enter the appropriate value(s) and select Apply.
