Fixes (iOS)
ArcGIS Layers Toggle Behavior:
Fixed a critical issue with map layer display in the iOS app where ArcGIS layers would incorrectly appear even when toggled off. The fix ensures that layer toggle states are properly respected, with elements only displaying when their specific layer is explicitly toggled on. This correction aligns the mobile app behavior with the web version, improves map readability by preventing unwanted elements from appearing, and ensures that map configuration preferences are properly saved when switching accounts or closing the application.
Text Shadow Enhancement:
Fixed an issue where text shadows in annotations weren't properly rendering when font color and background color were identical. This improvement ensures that text shadows now display correctly on both Google Maps and ArcGIS, providing proper contrast and maintaining consistency with the web interface.
Offline Dialog Message Fix:
Fixed a typo in the iPad offline map feature where a leading double-quote appeared in the "Map data present" dialog message. This correction ensures proper text presentation when users attempt to download map data that already exists, maintaining professional quality in the user interface.
Preplan Modal Scrolling Fix:
Fixed an issue where iOS users were unable to scroll through lengthy preplan unit/hazmat information, preventing access to complete data and attachments. This improvement ensures proper vertical scrolling functionality across all iOS devices in both portrait and landscape orientations, maintaining consistency with the Android implementation while following iOS UI/UX guidelines.
iPad Zoom Levels Screen Enhancement:
Added proper scrolling support to the Zoom Levels settings screen on iPad, ensuring all controls remain fully accessible in both portrait and landscape orientations. This improvement prevents content from being cut off when switching to landscape mode, allowing users to access all zoom level sliders and the "Always Show Dispatches" toggle regardless of device orientation or iPad model. The implementation dynamically enables scrolling only when needed based on content and screen dimensions, providing a seamless and intuitive experience across all supported iPad devices.
Fixes (Android)
Units List Filter Reset Bug Fix
Resolved an issue where the filter dialog remained open after users reset their filters in the Units list view. The fix ensures that after confirming a filter reset, users are automatically returned to the Units list with filters removed, eliminating the need to tap "Apply" unnecessarily. This correction aligns Android behavior with iOS functionality, streamlines the filtering workflow, and removes a frustrating inconsistency in the user experience.
Units List Filter Status Indicator Fix
Resolved an issue where the Units list filter icon failed to change appearance when filters were active. The fix implements a visual indicator that changes the filter icon from gray to blue when filters are applied, matching iOS behavior and providing clear visual feedback about the current filtering state. This enhancement improves user awareness of active filters, reduces accidental use of filtered views, and creates a consistent cross-platform experience for managing unit visibility.
Units List Sorting Icon Direction Fix
Corrected inconsistent sorting arrow behavior in the Units list where Android displayed opposite visual indicators compared to iOS. The fix aligns sorting icons across platforms so an upward-pointing arrow consistently indicates alphabetical order and a downward-pointing arrow indicates reverse alphabetical order. This standardization improves the sorting control's intuitiveness, ensures consistent user experience across platforms, and adheres to established UX patterns for sorting indicators.
Alert Ringtone Display Format Fix
Resolved an inconsistency in the Alert ringtones settings interface where Android displayed file extensions (".mp3") while iOS did not. The fix removes these technical extensions from the user interface while preserving them in the underlying system preferences, creating a cleaner, more professional appearance that matches iOS standards. This enhancement maintains all notification functionality while providing a more cohesive cross-platform experience and focusing the interface on meaningful sound names rather than technical details.
Text Annotation Shadow Rendering Fix
Resolved an issue where text shadows in annotations were insufficiently visible when using identical font and background colors. The enhancement improves the rendering of text shadows on Android to match web application standards, ensuring proper contrast and legibility even in challenging color combinations. This correction maintains visual consistency across platforms, improves readability of critical map annotations, and enables first responders to effectively use high-contrast text effects for important location markers and emergency instructions.
Messaging Push Notification Navigation Fix
Resolved an issue where tapping on messaging push notifications failed to direct users to the relevant message, instead redirecting to the Shift Board. The fix ensures consistent behavior when opening notifications with the app in any state—foreground, background, closed, or on locked devices—and properly handles account switching when notifications arrive for non-active accounts. This enhancement aligns Android navigation with iOS standards, improves communication efficiency for first responders, and creates a seamless experience when responding to time-sensitive messages.
Smart Watch Notification Support
Fixed an issue where notifications from the First Due Mobile app weren't being delivered to Samsung Galaxy Ultra Watch and other smartwatch models. Android users can now receive and interact with dispatch, chat, and scheduling notifications on their smartwatches regardless of whether the app is open, in the background, or closed.
