- What - Admins can now import Global Credentials in the Training Module. These credentials are created by First Due based on jurisdiction requirements, helping agencies reduce setup time and minimize errors during the credential creation process.
- Why - This improvement provides a more consistent and reliable way to create credentials by allowing users to start from prebuilt credential templates instead of manually building each credential from scratch.
-
How
- Navigate to Training > Credentials.
- Select Actions > Import Global Credentials.
- In the import modal, use the available filters at the top to narrow the list of credentials.
- Select the checkbox next to the credential you want to import.
- Select Import Selected.
- After the success confirmation appears, the imported credential will be added to the credentials list.
- Select the Edit icon to manage the imported credential.
- Note: Imported credential fields are locked from editing except for linking a Training Plan to manage renewal requirements.
- Select Update after linking the appropriate training plan.
- Note: As a best practice, keep the imported credential as-is. To make agency-specific changes, select the Clone icon from the Actions column to create an editable copy.
- Use Case - An admin needs to add a required credential that aligns with established jurisdiction standards. Instead of manually creating the credential and risking configuration errors, they import the appropriate Global Credential, link a training plan for renewal requirements, and update the credential so personnel can begin tracking completion against the correct standard.
