Permit Highlights: View Fire Zone, Inspection Zone, and Inspection District
What - The Permit Highlights panel now displays the Fire Zone, Inspection Zone, and Inspection District associated with the occupancy linked to a permit's address. These fields are automatically populated for all permit types and provide a quick, read-only reference directly from the permit. If a value has not been configured on the linked occupancy record, the panel displays Not set. Visibility for Inspection Zone and Inspection District follows your organization's Field Management configuration.
Why - This enhancement provides immediate access to important geographic and operational information without requiring users to leave the permit record. By surfacing these values in the Highlights panel, users can more efficiently review permit information, verify inspection assignments, and reference operational boundaries while maintaining a streamlined workflow.
How
Navigate to Fire Prevention > Permits.
Open any permit record.
Review the Highlights panel on the right side of the page.
Locate the Fire Zone, Inspection Zone, and Inspection District fields.
If changes are needed, update the values on the linked Occupancy record, as these fields are read-only within the permit.
Note: If no value exists on the linked occupancy, the field displays Not set.
Note:Inspection Zone and Inspection District are displayed only when users have visibility through Field Management permissions.
Use Case - While reviewing a permit prior to an inspection, an inspector can immediately verify the property's assigned Fire Zone, Inspection Zone, and Inspection District from the Highlights panel without opening the associated occupancy record. This allows for faster permit reviews, improves situational awareness, and reduces unnecessary navigation throughout the system.
