Register for the WebinarApparatus Booking in Events and Activities
- What - Apparatus Booking has been added to Events and Activities to allow event creators to schedule one or more apparatus with independent start and end times. This improvement also provides visibility into scheduling conflicts when an apparatus is already booked for another Event or Training during the same timeframe.
- Why - This change helps improve operational awareness by giving users immediate feedback when an apparatus may be unavailable due to an existing booking. It also supports more flexible event planning by allowing apparatus to be assigned for specific portions of an event rather than requiring the apparatus schedule to match the full event duration.
-
How
- In Events and Activities, create or open an event and use the Associated Apparatus section to add the needed apparatus.
- Assign an independent Start Time and End Time for each apparatus based on when it is needed during the event.
- Review the Booked Units Count and select View More to see any conflicting Events or Trainings. Conflicts are informational warnings only and do not require users to adjust the apparatus schedule.
- Enable the Secondary toggle when a covering apparatus is needed, then select the covering apparatus and the station it will cover. Covering apparatus will follow the same conflict-checking rules.
- Use Case - An event is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, but the event creator only needs a specific apparatus from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The creator can assign that apparatus for only the needed timeframe, review any conflicts from existing Events or Trainings, and optionally add a secondary apparatus to cover the primary unit during that assignment.
Add Exposure Report from Daily Operations List View
- What - Users can now add an exposure report directly from the Daily Operations List View in the Events and Activities module, making it easier to document exposure-related information from an existing daily operations entry.
- Why - This improvement streamlines the exposure reporting process by reducing extra navigation and helping users capture important exposure details closer to the related operational activity.
-
How
- Navigate to Events and Activities.
- Open the Daily Operations List View.
- Locate the applicable daily operations entry.
- Use the available option to add an Exposure Report from that entry.
- Complete the required exposure report details and save the report.
- Note: Only complete the report using the information available for the related event or activity.
- Use Case - After reviewing a daily operations entry that involved a potential exposure, a user can create the exposure report directly from the list view, helping ensure the exposure is documented accurately and connected to the appropriate operational context.
User Interface Update for Events and Activities Setup
- What - The Events and Activities Setup area in First Due has been updated with user interface improvements to provide a cleaner and more consistent setup experience.
- Why - This change was made to improve usability and make it easier for users to navigate and manage event and activity configuration within First Due.
-
How
- Navigate to Setup.
- Open Events and Activities Setup.
- Review the updated interface when configuring or managing events and activities.
- No additional enablement is required for this user interface update.
- Use Case - A user responsible for configuring community events, inspections, trainings, or other activity types can access Events and Activities Setup and use the updated interface to more easily review and manage available configuration options.
