Enhancements
New Features - Available in Test Environment on 6/1
Bug Fixes
Training - Apparatus Conflict Tooltip
-
What - The info/warning icon and conflict tooltip are now displayed for each individual apparatus that has a scheduling conflict or is marked Out of Service when creating or editing a Training Class. This behavior now applies consistently to both single-day and multi-day classes.
-
Why - This fix improves visibility into apparatus availability issues, helping users identify exactly which selected apparatus has a conflict or is unavailable before saving a training class.
-
How
- Navigate to Training.
- Create or edit a Training Class.
- Add one or more apparatus to the class.
- If an apparatus has a scheduling conflict or is marked Out of Service, review the info/warning icon displayed for that specific apparatus.
- Hover over the icon to view the conflict message: “The selected apparatus is already booked and conflicts with the selected schedule(s).”
-
Use Case - A user creating a multi-day training class can select multiple apparatus and quickly identify which specific apparatus are already booked or marked Out of Service, allowing them to adjust the schedule or apparatus selection before finalizing the class.
Training - Topic Dropdown in Edit Mode Fix
-
What - The Topic dropdown now correctly displays all available topics when reopening a saved Training Class in Edit mode if the Limit Category, Topic, and Course (Objective) Selections toggle is set to OFF. Previously, Edit mode could still filter topics based on category or objective associations even when the toggle was disabled.
-
Why - This fix ensures Edit mode behavior matches Create mode behavior, giving users consistent access to all available topic options when selection limiting is turned off.
-
How
- Navigate to Training.
- Create or open a Training Class.
- Set Limit Category, Topic, and Course (Objective) Selections to OFF.
- Save the class.
- Reopen the saved class in Edit mode.
- Open the Topic dropdown to view all available topics without association-based filtering.
-
Use Case - A user editing a saved training class can turn Limit Category, Topic, and Course Selections OFF and reopen the class later with confidence that the Topic dropdown will show all available topics, matching the behavior seen when creating a new class.
Training - Certification Renewal Logic Fix - (Certifications will Transition to Credentials on June 1st, functionality will not change for this fix)
-
What - Certification renewal logic now correctly follows the configured renewal criteria, and a new renewal/progress tracking component is automatically created alongside each newly issued certification. Certifications configured to renew by Date of Expiration now renew when the expiration date is reached, certifications configured for Date All Completion Requirements Met issue on the same day requirements are completed with dates inherited correctly, and certifications configured as Do Not Automatically Renew no longer renew without manual action. Course-based certifications also no longer move directly to Active upon creation when Create Initial Certification is selected and now remain in the expected pending or in-progress state.
-
Why - This fix ensures certification statuses, renewal dates, and progress tracking behave consistently with the selected certification settings, reducing manual correction and helping users maintain accurate certification records.
-
How
- Navigate to Training.
- Open the applicable Certification configuration.
- Review the selected renewal criteria, such as Date of Expiration, Date All Completion Requirements Met, or Do Not Automatically Renew.
- Save or issue the certification as part of the normal workflow.
- For newly issued certifications, review the associated renewal/progress tracking component that is automatically created.
- For course-based certifications using Create Initial Certification, verify the certification remains in the expected pending or in-progress state until completion requirements are met.
-
Use Case - A user managing certification renewals can configure a certification to renew based on its expiration date and rely on the system to create the next renewal/progress tracking component when the certification is newly issued. For course-based certifications, users can also create the initial certification without it immediately becoming Active, ensuring progress is tracked accurately until requirements are completed.
