Enhancements
Recurring Event UI Update in Events & Activities
- What - The Recurring Event UI in Events & Activities has been updated to align with the improved Recurring Training design, providing a more consistent recurrence setup experience across modules. When Recurrent Event is enabled, users will now see the redesigned recurrence configuration supporting Day, Week, Month, Year, Custom, and Custom Month recurrence types. The recurrence summary, description, and total instance count now update dynamically as recurrence settings are adjusted.
- Why - This update improves consistency and usability when creating or managing recurring records, making the recurrence setup process easier to understand and more predictable. It also resolves an issue where adding participants to a recurring event and selecting Update All could generate events with incorrect start and end dates.
- How
- Navigate to Events & Activities.
- Create a new event or edit an existing event.
- Enable Recurrent Event to open the redesigned recurrence configuration.
- Select the appropriate recurrence type, such as Day, Week, Month, Year, Custom, or Custom Month.
- Configure the recurrence details and review the dynamically updated recurrence summary and total instance count.
- To create a recurrence with no end date, use the option now located within the End Date field.
- When editing an existing recurring event, select the desired update scope when prompted:
- Save This to update only the selected event.
- Save Future to update the selected event and future events in the series.
Save All to update the full recurring series.
- Use Case - A user scheduling a recurring community event can enable Recurrent Event, configure it to repeat monthly, review the updated summary and instance count, and choose whether the series should have an end date. If participant details need to be updated later, the user can edit the recurring event and select Save All to apply the change across the entire series without creating events with incorrect start or end dates.
Events - Today Button Added to Events Calendar
- What - A Today button has been added to the Events & Activities Calendar View and Daily View, allowing users to quickly return to the current date or current month from either view.
- Why - This enhancement reduces manual navigation and makes it easier for users to return to the current schedule after reviewing past or future events.
- How
- Navigate to Events & Activities.
- Open either Calendar View or Daily View.
- Click Today to return the view to the current date or current month.
- Use Case - A user reviewing upcoming events several months in advance can click Today to immediately return to the current month in Calendar View, or return to the current date in Daily View, without manually navigating back through the calendar.
Events - Sign-Up Request Timestamp for Admin Audit
- What - Admin users can now view the date and time each participant submitted a sign-up request for sign-up eligible events. This timestamp is displayed in the participant section of the event, providing clearer visibility into when each request was submitted.
- Why - This enhancement supports audit tracking and helps users make acceptance decisions based on sign-up order, such as approving participants in the order requests were received.
- How
- Navigate to Events & Activities.
- Open a sign-up eligible event.
- Review the Participants section of the event.
- View the sign-up request date and time shown for each participant who submitted a request.
- Use Case - A user managing a limited-capacity event can review participant sign-up request timestamps and approve the first set of users who submitted requests, helping ensure acceptance decisions are based on a clear and auditable order.
