Purpose Statement
To explain how to create a shared Course Library view that displays First Due LMS course offerings, helping agency personnel easily locate courses about using the First Due platform.
Background Information
The Course Library provides a centralized location for training courses within First Due.
The workflow demonstrated in the supplied video uses a category filter to display First Due LMS courses. You can customize the view’s columns, enable filtering by course name, adjust the number of courses displayed per page, and make the view available to everyone in your agency.
Before beginning, confirm that the First Due LMS courses are available in your agency’s Course Library.
Required Permissions
Have your agency administrator confirm the permissions needed to access Training > Course Library, create a view, and make that view available agency-wide.

Save and review the view.
Select Save.
Open the First Due LMS view and review the results to confirm that the intended courses and display columns appear.
Best Practices
Use a recognizable view name. Name the view First Due LMS so personnel can easily identify it as the location for First Due software training.
Review the category selection before sharing. Check that the view displays the intended courses. Do not select unrelated categories simply to increase the number of results.
Keep the display focused. Start with the columns demonstrated in the video and include additional columns only when they help personnel locate or review courses.
Check the shared experience. After saving, ask another agency member to confirm that they can find the view and use the course-name filter.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Why are no courses appearing in the view?
Review the Category field, In operator, and selected category values. Clear any course-name filter and check whether the expected courses are available in the Course Library.
Why can’t other agency members see the view?
Confirm that you saved the view and configured its visibility for everyone in the agency. If the view remains unavailable to a member, ask your agency administrator to review that person’s Course Library access.
What should I do if Add a View is unavailable?
Confirm that you are in Training > Course Library and have opened the three-dot menu. If Add a View is unavailable, ask your agency administrator to review your access to view creation.
How do I find a specific First Due LMS course?
Enable Course Name filtering when configuring the view, then use that filter to locate the course.
Do I need to display the Version column?
No. The video presents Version as an optional column. Include it when that information is useful to your agency.
