Configure Schematron Message Display by Level
- What - The Schematron Message Display dropdown now provides options to configure which Schematron messages are displayed by level: Display Errors and Warnings, Display Errors Only, or Display None.
- Why - This enhancement provides greater control over which Schematron messages are displayed, allowing users to select the level of error and warning information appropriate for their workflow.
-
How
- From the Schematron Message Display dropdown, select the desired display level:
- Display Errors and Warnings – Displays both errors and warnings.
- Display Errors Only – Displays errors only.
- Display None – Does not display errors or warnings.
- From the Schematron Message Display dropdown, select the desired display level:
- Use Case - A user who only needs to review Schematron errors can select Display Errors Only, while a user who needs visibility into both errors and warnings can select Display Errors and Warnings. When Schematron messages do not need to be displayed, the user can select Display None.
Support Custom Elements in QA/QI Review and Print
- What - QA/QI Review and printing has been enhanced to fully support Custom Elements. Custom Questions that are part of Custom Sections and Custom Groups are now included in the printed QA/QI and the review, along with any comments entered for those questions. This ensures printed reviews accurately reflect all configured QA/QI content and user feedback.
- Why - Organizations that use custom QA/QI forms rely on reviews for documentation, audits, and quality improvement activities. Previously, Custom Questions and their associated comments were omitted from printed output, resulting in incomplete documentation. This enhancement provides a more complete and accurate representation of QA/QI Reviews.
-
How
- Navigate to QA/QI and start a review or open a completed review.
- Review and comment on any custom question in the review process.
- Select the option to Print the review.
- Verify that:
- Custom Questions within Custom Sections are included in the printout.
- Custom Questions within Custom Groups are included in the printout.
- Comments entered for Custom Questions are displayed beneath the appropriate questions.
- Use Case - An agency has configured custom QA/QI sections to capture organization-specific review criteria. When a supervisor reviews an ePCR or prints the completed review for documentation or audit purposes, all custom questions and reviewer comments are now included, ensuring the printed record matches what was entered electronically.
Post-Completion Attachment Management for Locked ePCR Records
- What - Authorized users can now manage attachments on completed (locked) ePCR records without reopening the incident. Users with the appropriate permissions can add, view, update, or delete attachments while the incident remains locked, then finalize their attachment changes to trigger any applicable downstream processing. Structured incident data and clinical documentation remain read-only throughout the process.
- Why - This enhancement streamlines administrative workflows by eliminating the need to revert completed incidents to an editable state solely to manage supplemental documentation. It helps preserve the integrity of finalized clinical records while improving efficiency for documentation, quality review, and billing-related processes.
-
How
- Navigate to a completed (locked) ePCR incident.
- Open the Attachments section.
- Add, rename, reclassify, view, or delete attachments based on your assigned permissions.
- After making attachment changes, select Finalize Attachment Updates from the page header.
- Confirm the action when prompted to finalize the changes.
- Note: Attachment changes do not unlock the incident or allow edits to clinical documentation or other structured fields.
- Note: The system evaluates previously exported endpoints after finalization and follows existing endpoint export rules, including Export Once behavior.
- Note: All attachment changes and finalization actions are recorded in the audit history.
- Use Case - After an ePCR has been completed and locked, a billing specialist receives a supplemental insurance document that must be included with the incident. Instead of reopening the report and risking unintended changes to clinical documentation, they upload the attachment, finalize the attachment updates, and the system processes any eligible downstream exports while maintaining the integrity and auditability of the completed record.
Workflow Hide Rules for Sections and Sub-sections
- What - Workflow Hide Rules have been enhanced to support hiding entire Sections and Sub-sections in addition to individual fields. Administrators can now apply conditional hide rules to larger portions of the ePCR, allowing entire Sections, individual Sub-sections, or specific fields to be hidden based on configured workflow logic. Section and Sub-section targets support the Hide rule type only, and users can temporarily reveal hidden content using the Unhide option while viewing an ePCR.
- Why - This enhancement gives administrators greater flexibility when designing agency-specific workflows by reducing unnecessary information displayed during documentation. Hiding entire Sections or Sub-sections instead of configuring numerous individual field rules simplifies workflow maintenance, creates a cleaner documentation experience, and helps clinicians focus only on information relevant to the current incident while still allowing hidden content to be accessed when needed.
-
How
- Navigate to Admin > ePCR > Workflows.
- Open an existing workflow or create a new one.
- Add or edit a workflow rule and select Hide as the rule type.
- Choose whether the rule applies to a Field, Section, or Sub-section.
- Configure the desired conditional logic and save the rule.
- When the configured condition is met, the selected Section or Sub-section is automatically hidden from the ePCR.
- Users can select Unhide while viewing an ePCR to temporarily display hidden Sections, Sub-sections, and fields without changing the configured workflow rules.
- Note: Sections and Sub-sections only support Hide rules. They cannot be configured with Error, Warning, or Default rule types.
- Note: If all Sub-sections within a Section are hidden, the Section remains visible and displays a placeholder message indicating that no Sub-sections are currently available.
- Use Case - An agency configures workflows so that specialized documentation Sections only appear when specific patient conditions or incident types are selected. For routine incidents, those Sections remain hidden, creating a cleaner and more efficient documentation experience. If a provider needs to review or reference hidden information during report completion, they can temporarily use the Unhide option without modifying the agency's configured workflow rules.
