Purpose Statement
The Hydrant List provides a centralized location to view, filter, organize, and manage hydrants within the Hydrant Module. This feature allows users to quickly locate hydrants, perform maintenance actions, initiate services, and manage hydrant records efficiently.
By using filters, list views, bulk actions, and map tools, departments can streamline hydrant inspections, service tasks, and data management.
Background Information
The Hydrant List is designed to give departments a flexible way to manage large hydrant inventories. Users can customize how hydrants are displayed, filter records to focus on specific hydrants, and quickly initiate operational tasks such as services, flow tests, or work orders.
List views allow users to save and reuse specific filter and column configurations, improving efficiency for recurring workflows such as inspections, maintenance planning, or operational reviews.
The Hydrant List also integrates with map functionality and the Work Queue, allowing users to visualize hydrant locations and stage hydrants for upcoming service tasks.

Troubleshooting & FAQs
Why can't I delete a hydrant?
Deleting hydrants requires the appropriate permissions. Contact your system administrator if the option is unavailable.
Why do I need to type "acknowledge" to delete a hydrant?
This safeguard prevents accidental deletion because removing a hydrant permanently deletes all associated service history, including flow tests and service checklists.
Why can't I edit service history items?
Editing service history depends on user permissions. Some users may only have view access.
Why don't I see certain list views?
List views may be personal, shared, or permission dependent. If a view was shared with you, it should appear in the Shared Views section.
