Purpose Statement
Saved list views allow users to customize how hydrant data is displayed within the Hydrant List. By creating a custom list view, users can select specific columns, apply sorting and filtering criteria, and save the configuration for quick access. This improves efficiency when reviewing hydrant data, monitoring maintenance status, or focusing on specific operational needs.
Saved views will save all filters along with grid settings and can be a useful tool in saving time when tracking serviced or flowed hydrants along with in service or out of service hydrants.
Background Information
The Hydrant List contains all hydrant records within the system. While predefined views may already exist, users can create custom list views tailored to their workflow.
Custom views allow users to:
Display only relevant columns
Apply sorting to prioritize important information
Filter hydrant records based on criteria such as service dates
Share the view with others in the organization
Saved views appear in the left navigation panel under Custom Views, and can also be pinned or favorited for faster access.
Required Permissions
Users must have permissions that allow them to manage or edit list views within the hydrant module. Required permissions typically include:
Hydrant Module Access
View Hydrant List
Create/Edit List Views
Note: Some actions such as editing or deleting views may depend on organizational permissions or whether the list view was shared with edit access.

Limit edit permissions when sharing views to prevent accidental changes.
Use favorites or pinned views to quickly access frequently used lists.
