Purpose Statement
The Hydrant Work Order from Service Checklist feature allows users to create a work order directly from a completed hydrant service checklist.
This functionality streamlines maintenance documentation by transferring selected checklist responses into the work order summary. This reduces duplicate data entry and ensures hydrant inspection findings are accurately captured in maintenance records.
Background Information
Hydrant inspections and service checks are critical for maintaining operational readiness and ensuring hydrants function properly during emergencies. When issues are identified during an inspection, a work order may need to be created to track maintenance or repairs.
First Due allows users to generate a work order directly from the hydrant service checklist workflow. During this process:
Selected checklist questions and responses can automatically populate the work order summary.
Default checklist items can be preconfigured during checklist setup.
Users can add or remove checklist items before creating the work order.
The work order opens immediately after creation so users can complete additional details.
This workflow helps ensure inspection findings are efficiently converted into actionable maintenance tasks.
