Purpose Statement
This feature allows users to sync their My Shifts schedule from the First Due platform to an external calendar application using a shareable iCal link, ensuring shifts stay visible and up to date outside the platform.
Background Information
The My Shifts calendar includes a user’s assigned scheduling information. By generating an iCal-formatted link, users can subscribe to their schedule in supported external calendar platforms such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and Android calendars. Updates from First Due are automatically pushed to the external calendar at regular intervals.

Troubleshooting & FAQs
Q: My shifts are not updating in my external calendar.
A: Updates are pushed every 15 minutes. If changes do not appear after that window, confirm the calendar is subscribed to the iCal link and not imported as a static calendar.
Q: Can I stop someone from accessing my shared calendar link?
A: Yes. Use the Revoke option to immediately disable the existing link.
Q: Do I need admin permissions to generate the link?
A: No. Users only need access to My Shifts to generate their own calendar link.
