This article explains how users can request time off directly from the My Shifts calendar within the Scheduling module.
Background Information
The My Shifts calendar allows users to view assigned work shifts and submit time off requests. Requests can be submitted from either the monthly or weekly calendar view and may include single or multiple days, including non-consecutive dates.
Required Permissions
- Scheduling – Access Scheduling
- Scheduling – Access My Shifts
- Scheduling – Access Time Off

Step-by-Step Guide
Navigate to My Shifts
- Click the First Due logo
- Select Scheduling
- Select My Shifts
Select the Calendar View
- Use either the Monthly or Weekly view
- Navigate to the desired month if needed
Request Time Off for a Shift
- Select the area above the specific work shift
- Choose Request Time Off
Complete the Time Off Request
- Select who the request is sent to (may be prefilled by your organization)
- Choose the appropriate Time Off Type
- Select the Project Code
- Choose Full or Partial time
- Add notes if needed
Request Time Off for Multiple Days
- Select Multiple Selection
- Choose multiple days (days do not need to be consecutive)
- Click Done
- Review the listed dates
- Select Request Time Off and follow the same steps outlined above
