In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module. 



New Features

1. Added Asset dropdown

  1. What: Ability to track Assets utilized during Training Classes utilizing the Asset dropdown during Class creation

  2. Why: To allow users to capture Assets utilized during Training Classes

  3. How: Training > Training Classes > Actions > Add Class

  4. Use Case: Users can track Assets utilized during Training Classes


2. Grace Period Functionality for Expired Certifications

  1. What: Grace Period feature within certification expiration settings

  2. Why: To allow users time to complete certifications past their original expiration date 

  3. How: Training > Certifications > Add Certification > Grace Period

  4. Use Case: Users will be allowed to complete the certification after its expiration date with the specific grace period.

Feature Enhancements

1. Certification Renewal Criteria Options

  1. What: Certification Renewal Criteria Options

  2. Why: To allow users to control the automatic renewal of certifications based on specific criteria 

  3. How: Training > Certifications > Add Certification > Renewal Criteria

  4. Use Case: Gives users the ability to select automatic renewal criteria. 

2. Updated "Assign User(s)" Button and Modal

  1. What: Updated "Assign User(s)" Button and Modal. "Add New User" button has been renamed to "Assign User(s)"

  2. Why: To create greater clarity when assigning new users to certifications

  3. How: Training > Manage Certifications > Assign New Users

  4. Use Case: Updates include new dropdown menu for selecting certifications as well as ability to add certification periods

3. Bulk Update Functionality

  1. What: A new "update" button has been added allowing users to efficiently update multiple certifications of the same type at once
  1. Why: Gives users ability to bulk update "Issue Date" and "Expiration Date" at the same time for the same type of certification
  2. How: Training > Manage Certifications > Actions > Update
  3. Use Case: Training Officers will now be able to update Issue and Expiration Date in a bulk fashion



4. Added Start and End Date column with Editing functionality

  1. What: The Manage Certifications page now includes columns for Start Date and End Date.
  1. Why: When Certification is "In Progress" you can click on pencil icon to update certification period
  2. How: Training > Manage Certifications > Select Certification "In Progress" > Edit (pencil icon) 
  3. Use Case: Gives Users ability to update certification periods for certifications in progress



5. "Issued Date" Field in Assign Certifications Modal

  1. What: The Assigned Certification modal now includes an "Issued Date" field which records the date when the certification was assigned

  2. Why: To all users to ensure accurate tracking of when certifications are issued

  3. How: Training > Manage Certifications > Select Certification status of "Assigned" > Edit
  4. Use Case: Gives Users the ability to update Issue date on assigned certifications
