Setting up the ePCR - Protocols

Instructions

  1. Welcome to the First Due ePCR setup process. The next section we will visit is Protocols. To access this page navigate to Incident Documentation > EMS Setup > Protocols.






  2. Once on the Protocols page, begin by confirming your state(s) is/are correct.






  3. Next, select the Protocols used by your organization by selecting the checkbox next to its title.





  4. You are able to customize the labels for the Protocols you have chosen by selecting the Protocols Details button. Enter the label you wish to associate with each protocol (leave blank to use the default protocol name. Additionally, rearrange the list order if desired. Once labels have been added, select the Save button at the bottom of the page.






  1. To edit available treatments and medications within the form, as well as edit the list order and display descriptions, navigate to EMS Setup -> Field Customization.

  1. Using the Treatment Details button you can configure multiple details about each treatment.

    1. (A) Assign a Label to the treatment. This changes the displayed list choice to a provider completing the ePCR.
    2. (B) Apply Settings where applicable (see step 7 for further details).
    3. (C) Assign Certification Levels (see step 8 for further details)
    4. (D) Assign the appropriate Authorization Level (see step 9 for further details).






  2. Where applicable, you can configure Treatment Details by selecting the Settings button.  Once you have entered/selected the details select the Save button.  Repeat this process for each treatment that has this option. 






  3. You can set a Certification Level for each treatment to determine who, based on certification level, is authorized to perform the treatment.  You can do this individually or in bulk:

    1. (A) Individually - Select the dropdown and select the certification level(s) that can perform the treatment.
    2. (B) Bulk - You can apply certification level(s) to a category or apply to all by selecting the appropriate button at the top of the page.






  4. You can set a authorization level for each treatment to delineate when the treatment can be performed.  You can do this individually or in bulk. 

    1. (A) Individually - Select the dropdown and select the authorization level that allows the treatment to be performed.
    2. (B) Bulk - You can apply an authorization level to a category or apply to all by selecting the appropriate button at the top of the page.




  1. In the Settings tab for each medication, you can set acceptable ranges, dose & unit defaults, as well as Max Administrations and minimum Interval settings.


  1. Select the default end-tidal CO2 (ETCO2) monitoring measurement. 






  2. Select the Certification Levels within your organization.
