New Features
Permits - Character Limits for Permit Custom Questions
- What: We’ve added a new option to make it easier to design permit forms by setting character limits for custom questions.
- Why: This feature helps ensure that answers fit within designated spaces on your permit forms.
- How:
- In the Permit Custom Question settings, you can now specify a maximum character count for the following field types (when left empty, it will use the system maximum):
- Free Text
- Currency
- Numeric
- Rich Text
- Automatic Character Counter: A character counter will now display for single-select and multi-select fields when creating them.
- Validation on Submission: When a user completes custom questions with character limits, the system will validate responses to ensure they stay within the set limits.
- Use Case: This feature helps ensure that answers fit within designated spaces on your permit forms.
Feature Enhancements
Permits - Manage Permit Contacts During Inspections
- What: We’ve made it easier to manage permit contacts while users are in an inspection.
- Why: Users can now add or edit permit contacts when editing a permit within the inspection without needing to leave the inspection or go to the permit list.
- How: Edit Contacts Within Inspections: When adding or editing a permit during an inspection, they will now see the “Contact” section, where they can easily update the permit contact information.
- Use Case: Real-Time Updates: If they change permit contact info, these updates will be reflected immediately within the inspection using the latest published information.
