Register for the WebinarEvaluations UI Changes (Feature Enhancement)
- What — The Evaluations module has received user interface and experience improvements across key workflows, including creating and performing evaluations, managing signatures, and configuring setup categories. These updates improve visual consistency, button behavior, and layout throughout the evaluation process.
- Why — Design validation identified areas where the interface lacked consistency and clarity, making some evaluation workflows harder to navigate. These improvements provide a more intuitive and polished experience while reducing friction when completing evaluation tasks.
-
How
- These updates apply across multiple areas of the Evaluations module, including the checklist builder, evaluation workflow, signatures, and setup configuration.
- Labels now consistently use sentence case.
- Badge sizes have been standardized for greater visual consistency.
- Pass/fail indicators consistently use green and red colors.
- Button hierarchy has been standardized across evaluation workflows.
- Use Case — A supervisor building a new evaluation checklist benefits from a cleaner layout when configuring options and settings. An evaluator completing a performance review receives clearer guidance through required steps, with disabled controls and inline indicators helping prevent early submission. An administrator configuring evaluation categories in Setup can more easily understand the hierarchy and available actions through improved helper text and streamlined controls.
Evaluations User Experience Enhancements (Feature Enhancement)
- What — The Evaluations module has been updated with user experience improvements across the checklist builder, Perform Evaluation, signatures, Evaluation Summary, and Setup. These changes provide cleaner layouts, clearer actions and status indicators, consistent visual styling, and a more streamlined evaluation workflow.
- Why — These enhancements improve consistency and clarity throughout the evaluation process, helping users more easily understand available actions, identify incomplete requirements, navigate configuration hierarchies, and complete evaluation tasks with less friction.
-
How
- In the checklist builder, checklist item cards have a cleaner layout, and the Allow Multiple Attempts toggle is now left-aligned for consistency.
- During Perform Evaluation, a single Save button appears at the top of the workflow.
- The Complete button remains disabled until all evaluation requirements are met, with incomplete items identified inline in red.
- The Signature section has been redesigned to provide a cleaner, more guided experience.
- After completing an evaluation, users remain on the Evaluation Summary screen instead of being redirected away.
- In Setup, categories, groups, and subgroups display a single primary action along with row-level actions and helper text to clarify the hierarchy.
- Across the module, labels use sentence case, badge sizes are standardized, pass/fail colors consistently use green and red, and button hierarchy is uniform.
- Use Case — An evaluator can work through an evaluation with clearer visual guidance, save progress from a consistent location, and quickly identify requirements that still need attention before Complete becomes available. Supervisors building checklists and administrators configuring categories in Setup also benefit from cleaner layouts and clearer controls, while completed evaluations remain on the Evaluation Summary screen for convenient review.
Evaluations Navigation, Status Actions, and Signature Display Corrections (Bug Fix)
- What — Several behavioral issues in the Evaluations module have been corrected, including incorrect page routing, actions appearing when they did not apply to an evaluation’s current status, and incomplete signature information within the updated signature component.
- Why — These corrections ensure users are guided through evaluation workflows accurately, with available actions reflecting the current evaluation status and signature information displaying completely and correctly.
-
How
- The View (eyeball) action now routes directly to the Evaluation Summary page instead of the evaluation type overview.
- The Sign Evaluation action is hidden after all required signatures have been completed.
- The Evaluate / Play action is no longer displayed for completed evaluations; only the View action is available.
- The Sign action is no longer available for not-started evaluations, ensuring actions are appropriately gated by evaluation status.
- Signature images now render fully, and the signer’s name displays correctly within the signature component.
- These corrections apply to evaluations accessed through the Evaluations module.
- Use Case — A supervisor reviewing a completed evaluation now sees only actions appropriate for its current status. Selecting the View action takes the user directly to the Evaluation Summary, while reviewers of finalized evaluations can see the complete signature image and signer’s name without cropping or missing information.
