Command Module: Release Notes June 2026
New Features
Bulk Import and Modal-Based Creation for Incident Command Setup
- What - Added bulk import and modal-based creation capabilities across Incident Command Position Management modules to streamline the management of positions, assignments, Mayday setup entries, and radio frequency configurations. Users can now import structured data using supported CSV-based formats or quickly create new entries directly from touch-friendly modal interfaces without leaving their current workflow. The enhancement includes inline validations, duplicate detection, required field checks, maximum position limits, partial failure handling, and automatic generation of applicable fields such as position codes. Newly created or imported positions immediately synchronize to the command board while maintaining layout rules, non-overlapping placement behavior, and real-time visibility across connected users.
- Why - This enhancement improves operational efficiency by reducing the time and manual effort required to configure or update Incident Command structures during active incidents and administrative preparation workflows. Bulk import support allows organizations to rapidly onboard large sets of command positions or configurations, while modal-based creation workflows reduce unnecessary navigation and simplify real-time updates during incident operations. Immediate synchronization and validation safeguards help maintain board integrity and reduce the risk of duplicate, incomplete, or conflicting configurations in collaborative command environments.
- How
- Navigate to the applicable Incident Command Setup section.
- Select the Import option to upload supported CSV or structured input files for positions, assignments, Mayday setup entries, or radio frequency configurations.
- Review inline validation feedback for:
- Required fields
- Duplicate entries
- Unique position name validation
- Maximum position limits
- Confirm the import to apply valid records to the command board.
- Select Create New to open the modal-based creation workflow.
- Enter the required information directly within the modal interface.
- Use the quick-add workflow to create entries without navigating away from the current board or management screen.
- Observe imported or newly created items automatically appearing on the command board with real-time synchronization across users.
- Review import summaries or toast notifications for successful records and any failed entries with detailed failure reasons.
- Existing Mayday Checklist bulk edit functionality remains unchanged and is not part of this enhancement.
- Use Case - During a large-scale incident response or training exercise, command staff can quickly import preconfigured command positions and radio frequency assignments into the Incident Command Board instead of manually creating each entry individually. At the same time, Incident Commanders can rapidly add new operational positions or assignment changes directly from modal dialogs while remaining on the active board view. This allows teams to maintain situational awareness, reduce setup delays, and ensure all connected users receive updated command structure information in near real time.

Fixes
Mobile Incident Command Template Auto-Population
- What - Fixed an issue where Incident Command templates were not automatically populating within the mobile application based on dispatch incident type mappings, despite functioning correctly in the web application. Mobile workflows now properly retrieve and apply mapped Incident Command templates using dispatch-based template matching while preserving manual template selection when no mapping exists.
- Why - This fix improves consistency between web and mobile Take Command workflows and reduces manual setup effort for responders initiating command operations from mobile devices. Automatically loading the correct template helps streamline command board preparation during active incidents.
- How
- Open a dispatch incident within the mobile application.
- Launch the Take Command workflow.
- The appropriate Incident Command template automatically populates based on incident type mappings when available.
- Manual template selection remains available if no mapping exists.
- Use Case - A responder initiating command operations from a mobile device during a structure fire automatically receives the correct command template associated with that incident type, reducing setup time and improving operational readiness.
