Purpose Statement
Standards in the Training Module allow departments to align training Courses with recognized regulatory or organizational benchmarks. Associating standards with Courses supports compliance tracking, improves reporting accuracy, and helps departments demonstrate preparedness for audits such as ISO or other accrediting reviews.
Background Information
Standards provide a formal way to connect task-level training Courses to external or internal requirements. Departments commonly use standards to document compliance with frameworks such as ISO, NFPA, or locally defined performance benchmarks.
By creating or importing standards into the Training Module, administrators can associate them directly with Courses. This linkage enhances reporting, enables audit readiness, and ensures training data reflects the department’s operational and compliance priorities.
Required Permissions
To manage Standards in the Training Module, users must have:
Access to the Training Module
Training Administrator or System Administrator permissions

Keep standards Active only when they are intended for use.
Use bulk import when adding large standard libraries to save time.
Avoid editing or deleting standards that have already been used in training classes.
Review standards periodically to ensure accuracy and relevance.
