Purpose Statement
The List Configuration area of the Training Module allows administrators to define and manage standardized list values used during training class creation. These lists ensure consistent data entry, improve reporting accuracy, and support compliance by providing predefined options for key class attributes.
Background Information
List Configuration establishes the selectable values that appear throughout the Training Module when creating or editing training classes. Rather than relying on free-text entry, departments can control and standardize inputs such as training locations, delivery methods, and accrediting agencies.
Each list represents a specific aspect of training administration and can be customized to reflect department operations, regulatory requirements, and external partners. Proper maintenance of these lists supports clean data, reliable reporting, and long-term scalability.
Required Permissions
To manage List Configuration in the Training Module, users must have:
Access to the Training Module
Training Administrator or System Administrator permissions
Permission to access Training Module Setup
These permissions are typically assigned to training officers, administrators, or designated data managers.

Use clear, standardized naming conventions for all list items.
Deactivate list values that are no longer in use instead of deleting them.
Periodically audit lists to remove duplicates or outdated options.
Ensure list values align with reporting and compliance requirements.
