Purpose Statement
This article provides an overview of the Menu within the First Due iOS Mobile Response App. Understanding the menu structure helps users quickly navigate modules, manage settings, and create shortcuts for faster access to commonly used sections.
Background Information
The Menu in the iOS Mobile Response App serves as the primary navigation hub for users. Common use cases include:
Accessing system modules such as Pre-Plan or Scheduling
Managing app-level and user-level settings
Creating shortcuts for frequently used sections

4. Navigate the Modules Section
Select Modules from the Menu
View a nested list of all modules available within your system
Select a module to view sections you have permission to access
Selecting a section:
Opens the module within the web platform
Keeps the user inside the First Due app
Displays the active module in the bottom taskbar
Important Note:
Switching between modules (for example, Scheduling to Pre-Plan) updates the bottom taskbar, allowing users to navigate elsewhere in the app and easily return to the previously viewed module section.
5. Use the Shortcuts Section
Open a module from the Menu then select the thumbtack icon next to a section
The pinned section appears in the Shortcuts area for quick access
Additional shortcut fields can be added as needed.
To remove a shortcut:
Select the crossed-out thumbtack icon next to the section
The section is removed from Shortcuts but remains available in the nested menu
Best Practices
Do’s
Use shortcuts for frequently accessed module sections
Use the Menu to switch modules instead of reopening them manually
Review Settings periodically to stay familiar with available options
Don’ts
Do not rely solely on shortcuts for navigation
Do not assume all modules are available; visibility is permission-based
Tips & Recommendations
Keep shortcuts limited to avoid clutter
Use module switching to maintain workflow continuity
Departments should provide standardized Outside Resources links
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Q: Why don’t I see certain modules in the Menu?
A: Only modules and sections you have permission to access will appear.
Q: If I remove a shortcut, does it delete the section?
A: No. Removing a shortcut only removes it from the Shortcuts area; the section remains available in the Modules list.
Q: Why does a module appear in the bottom taskbar?
A: The bottom taskbar shows the most recently accessed module, allowing quick return after navigating elsewhere in the app.
