Purpose Statement
The Personnel Section allows users to add and document detailed exposure information for each individual involved in an incident. This ensures accurate personnel-level tracking, supports compliance requirements, and enhances reporting for health and safety monitoring.
Background Information
Within an Exposure Report, the Personnel section is used to:
- Add personnel involved in the exposure
- Capture individual exposure timelines and details
- Document narratives and exposure-specific data
- Attach supporting documentation
Personnel can be added manually or imported from other modules. Each individual record can be customized with unique exposure details.
Required Permissions
Users typically need:
- Create Exposure Reports
- Edit Exposure Reports
- View Personnel Records
- Add/Edit Attachments
- Complete Exposure Reports

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Add Personnel
- Navigate to the Personnel Exposed section.
- Select the + Add button.
Note:
If personnel were imported, proceed to Step 6.
2. Search for Personnel
- In the Add Personnel Exposed modal:
- Scroll through personnel, or
- Use pagination (Next/Previous) to navigate
- Adjust the number of records displayed per page if needed.
3. Use Search to Filter Results
- Enter a name in the Search field.
- Select the magnifying glass or press Enter to filter results.
4. Apply Additional Filters
- Select Filters.
- Refine results as needed.
- Select Add after selecting personnel.
5. Add Selected Personnel
- Select the checkbox next to one or more personnel.
- Select Add to include them in the Exposure.
6. Manage Added Personnel
- For each person:
- Select the pencil icon to document exposure details
- Select the trashcan icon to remove the person
7. Open General Info
- Select General Info within the personnel record.
8. Select Exposure Types
- Use the dropdown to select or deselect exposure types.
Note:
Custom exposure types and questions may appear depending on agency configuration.
9. Enter Exposure Timeframe
- Enter Start Date/Time and End Date/Time:
- Type directly into the field, or
- Use the calendar picker
10. Use Calendar Picker
- Enter values using the keypad or keyboard.
- Select Apply to confirm.
11. Indicate Combustion Exposure
- Enable the toggle if particles of incomplete combustion were present.
12. Enter Narrative
- Use the Narrative field to document exposure details.
- Resize the field if needed.
13. Complete Exposure-Specific Tabs
- Selected exposure types will generate additional tabs.
- Select each tab and complete all required fields.
14. Add Attachments
- Navigate to the Attachments tab.
- Select + Add.
15. Upload Files
- Drag and drop files or select from your device.
- Select Add.
Notes:
- Accepted file types are defined in the system
- Maximum total upload size is 256MB
16. Manage Attachments
From the Actions column:
- Eye icon → View
- Pencil icon → Add/edit caption
- Trashcan icon → Delete
17. Add Attachment Caption
- Select the pencil icon.
- Enter a caption.
- Select Update.
18. Delete Attachments
- Select the trashcan icon.
- Confirm deletion in the warning modal.
19. Save Personnel Details
- Select Update after completing all tabs.
20. Use Apply To (Optional)
- Select Apply To (available when multiple personnel exist).
- Choose personnel to copy data to.
- Select Apply.
21. Confirm Data Copy
- A confirmation message will display once data is copied successfully.
22. Review Attachments Log
- All uploaded files are stored in the Attachments Log section.
23. Continue or Complete the Exposure
- Choose one of the following:
- Navigate to Associated Records
- Select Save to continue later
- Select Complete to finalize
Note:
Selecting Complete moves the report to Pending Authorization for review.

- Add all personnel before completing documentation.
- Use filters to quickly locate personnel.
- Accurately document start and end times for exposure tracking.
- Use Apply To for efficiency when multiple personnel share details.
- Include detailed narratives for compliance and clarity.

Why can’t I find a person?
Use search and filters to refine the personnel list.
Why don’t I see exposure-specific tabs?
Tabs appear only after selecting corresponding exposure types.
Why is the Apply To button unavailable?
It is only enabled when multiple personnel are added.
Can I edit personnel after saving?
Yes, unless restricted by permissions or report status.
Why can’t I upload attachments?
Ensure file type is supported and total size is under 256MB.
What happens when I complete the Exposure?
