Purpose Statement
The Report Widget allows users to display live report data directly within a dashboard. This feature enables Fire and EMS agencies to monitor operational metrics, analyze trends, and access report data without leaving the Dashboards module.
Report widgets pull information directly from the Reports module and automatically update as new data is entered into the system.
Background Information
Report widgets are embedded dashboard components that display reports created in the Reports module. Multiple report widgets can be displayed simultaneously on a single dashboard, allowing users to monitor several data points at once.
Because report widgets use live system data, updates made in connected modules are reflected automatically within the dashboard reports.
Users can also interact with reports directly from the dashboard by:
- Applying report filters
- Navigating report pages
- Downloading report data
- Printing reports
- Opening reports in a separate browser tab
Report widgets support customization options such as resizing, column visibility adjustments, and dashboard-specific filter configurations.
Required Permissions
Users must have the following permissions to add and manage Report Widgets:
- Access Dashboards Module
- Create/Edit Dashboards
- View Reports
- Access Shared Reports
- Edit Dashboard Layouts
To add a report widget, users must have permission to access the selected report. The report must either:
- Be created by the user
- Be shared with the user
- Be accessible through assigned permissions
