Purpose Statement
The Dashboards module allows users to create customized visual dashboards that display important data, reports, and widgets in a centralized location. Dashboards help Fire and EMS agencies monitor operational metrics, visualize trends, and quickly access critical information for decision-making and reporting.
Background Information
Dashboards can be created directly from the Dashboards page or from the Dashboard List view. Users can customize dashboards by adding widgets, adjusting layouts, and configuring visibility settings for other users within the system.
The platform currently supports multiple widget types, including report chart widgets, which allow agencies to display report-based data visually.
As agencies build more dashboards, clear naming conventions and descriptions become increasingly important for organization and usability.
Required Permissions
Users must have permission to access the Dashboards module in order to create and manage dashboards.
Additional permissions may include:
- View Dashboards
- Create Dashboards
- Edit Dashboards
- Delete Dashboards
- Manage Shared Dashboards
Users can typically delete dashboards only if they are the creator of the dashboard.
