The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to delete existing kits in the First Due system. Kits can be deleted individually, or multiple Kits can be deleted simultaneously using First Due's Bulk Delete feature.
Background Information
The Delete function differs from the Archive function in the fact that deleting a Kit PERMANENTLY removes that kit and all historical records pertaining to it from the system. Archiving removes the kit from the active list, whereas the kit(s) will no longer be able to be used, all historical records are retained and still be accessed. It is most often our recommendation to Archive instead of Delete.
When deleting Kits, ant Inventory within that kit will be deleted and any Equipment within that kit will remain in the system in an unassigned status, until assigned to a different location or user.
