The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the bulk operations available in the Equipment List.

Instruction
This article contains instruction for all available bulk operations in the Equipment List. Steps 1 and 2 below under Bulk Update apply to each operation and are also referenced for each one.
BULK UPDATE
1. Click on Equipment List in the Assets Module.
2. Find the Equipment that needs to be updated and click the box to the left of each item, or all items can be selected by clicking the box next to Equipment Group.
3. Click on the Actions button and select Update.
4. The Mass Update modal will appear.
5. Begin typing the name of the field(s) to be updated.
The following fields are available to update in a bulk operation:
In Service
Make
Model
Purchase Price
Funding Source
Next Service Test Date
Last Service Test Date
Next Hydro Static Test Date
Last Hydro Static Test Date
Initial In -Service Date
End of Service Life Date
Once two characters have been input, the field name will display. All fields available to update in a bulk operation are listed in "Fields to Edit" depicted below.
6. Click on Continue
7. The Mass Update modal will now display the field(s) that were chosen to edit.
8. Update the field(s) to the desired value.
9. Click on Save
The following shows that the items were updated.
This is a custom view created to rearrange columns for the purpose to show the updated fields in this article.
BULK ASSIGN
10. After repeating Steps 1 and 2 listed under BULK UPDATE above, Select Actions, then Assign Equipment.
11. Select User, Compartment, Storage or Pouch under "Assign to" then choose your desired user or location from the available choices in the drop down.
You will need to select the items again in this modal. You can select all by selecting the checkbox next to "Equipment" at the top.
12. Select Save
BULK ARCHIVE
13. After repeating Steps 1 and 2 listed under BULK UPDATE above, Select Actions, then Archive Equipment.
READ the notice in the modal BEFORE selecting Confirm
Archiving equipment CANNOT be undone. It will no longer be available for use in the system but, it's historical information will still remain for reporting purposes
BULK DELETE
Deleting Equipment permanently removes that item AND ALL historical data from the account.
14. After repeating Steps 1 and 2 in BULK UPDATE above, Select Actions, then select the red trashcan to the left of the Actions button
