10. Selecting the NOTIFICATIONS tab, the user sees the following:
A) Messaging Options - By turning this selector off, the user is able to silence notifications on a temporary basis.
B) Options of how the user chooses to receive the notifications. It is recommended that users choose at least two options to ensure an alerting backup.
C) Dispatch Incident Type Settings - If the user wishes to be alerted for every incident, the All Dispatches slider should be enabled. When the All Dispatches is disabled, two drop downs populate: Dispatch Units and Dispatch Incident Types. In those drop downs, users can multi-select the Dispatch Units and/or the Dispatch Incident Types they want to be alerted to.
The toggle selects:
OR: The user wants to be alerted when the selected Dispatch Unit is dispatched on any incident or any unit is dispatched on the selected Dispatch Incident Types. From the example above, the user will be alerted any time BC03 is dispatched and any time any unit is dispatched on an Active Shooter incident.
AND: The user wants to be alerted ONLY WHEN the selected Dispatch Unit is dispatched on the selected Dispatch Incident Types. From the example above, the user will only be alerted when BC03 is dispatched on an Active Shooter incident type.
The button allows the user to save alerting profiles. After selecting the Dispatch Units, Dispatch Incident Types and the OR/AND toggle, the user selects the Save View button and the user can input a name for the saved alerts:
To change Saved Views, just select the view from the dropdown list. To delete the Saved View, select the trash can in line with the name.
D) This selector allows the user to receive SMS or Text Messages for each alert.
