Completing an Incident Report - People Involved

Purpose

Background


The First Due incident report workflow is designed to follow a typical incident: 
  1. Response (unit times, incident type)
  2. Size-up (scene details)
  3. People Involved (Property Owner, EMS, Injured FF)
  4. Operations (actions taken) 
  5. Information (property, vehicle, and equipment involved)
  6. Wrap up (narratives).


NOTE:   Fields labeled with an (*) are mandatory items.  these fields MUST have an entry before the report can be completed.

Directions


1. Locate and select your Incident Report by navigating to Incident Documentation module and selecting the Fire Incident List.

2. From within the incident report the People Involved section will allow you to track individuals that were involved in the incident.


The People Involved section allows you to track individuals that were involved in the incident.



3. Start entering information into the four categories from the General Info and when completed select save.

  1. Personal Information - Involved Person/ Property Owner/ EMS Patient/ Injured FF
  2. Contact Information - Phone number/ email/ fax number
  3. Addresses - Home Address/ Work Contact/ Daytime Contact/ Alternate, 2nd Home
  4. Insurance Information
Add multiple people by selecting the + Add People Involved then repeating the above information.



Start entering information into the four categories from the General Info and when completed select save.



4. You can also Add from Occupancy using the down arrow then selecting "Add from Occupancy". From here a modal will populate with any contact/s that are associated with that occupancy to select from.






5. When selecting the EMS Patient this could populate two new tabs.  EMS tab will appear for those agencies using NFIRS EMS module, this will then take you to the NFIRS EMS form.  Casualty tab will appear if any 100 series incident type is selected and will take you to the Civilian Casualty form.


EMS tab only populates if agency is using the NFIRS EMS Module.
Casualty tab will only populate if any 100 series incident is selected from the Actual Incident Type Found within Response tab.



EMS Patient if enabled can populate two new tabs EMS and Casualty.



6. If using the NFIRS EMS Module when selecting the EMS tab you can document pertinent information.

Documentation of:
  1. Treatments/Procedures
  2. Medication Information
  3. Vital Signs
  4. Signatures
  5. Cardiac Arrest
  6. EMS Narrative


If using the NFIRS EMS Module when selecting the EMS tab you can enter pertinent information.



7. To record Civilian Casualty report select the Casualty tab and enter the associated information.

8. Selecting "Injured FF" will allow you to document any firefighter casualty.  When selected you will be able select your personnel from the "Search Personnel" tab.

Using the Search Personnel will populate a modal of all personnel within your agency, you then are able to select an individual by using the search bar or scroll through the personnel list. Select Import to add personnel's information into the report.


Selecting on Injured FF to record any firefighter casualty, notice Search Personnel tab appear.





9. Select the Casualty tab to document details of the Injured firefighter.

10. If multiple people were involved you can now navigate between the people listed by selecting on the name of whom you want to edit or add information.
