Completing an Incident Report from Scratch

Background
The First Due incident report workflow is designed to follow a typical incident:
- Response (unit times, incident type)
- Size-up (scene details, persons involved)
- Operations (actions taken)
- Information (property, vehicle, and equipment involved)
- Wrap up (narratives).
NOTE: Fields labeled with an (*) are mandatory items. These fields MUST have an entry before the report can be completed.
Directions
- Navigate to Incident Documentation > Incident List.
- Select the Add New button to generate an incident report manually.
- Complete the sections of the incident report.
- If you are a self dispatching agency you can also manually generate an incident report by navigating to Response > Dispatch Incident List.
- Select the New Dispatch button to dispatch an incident.
- Fill out the dispatch information. Ensure that the Create NFIRS Notification is selected. Select Create.
- Next, navigate to Incident Documentation > Incident list.
- Find your incident using the search parameters at the top of the page, and complete the incident report.
