Purpose

  1. To explain how to start an incident manually.

Background


The First Due incident report workflow is designed to follow a typical incident: 
  1. Response (unit times, incident type)
  2. Size-up (scene details, persons involved)
  3. Operations (actions taken) 
  4. Information (property, vehicle, and equipment involved)
  5. Wrap up (narratives).


NOTE: Fields labeled with an (*) are mandatory items. These fields MUST have an entry before the report can be completed.


Directions 

  1. Navigate to Incident Documentation > Incident List.






  2. Select the Add New button to generate an incident report manually.






  3. Complete the sections of the incident report.






  4. If you are a self dispatching agency you can also manually generate an incident report by navigating to Response > Dispatch Incident List.






  5. Select the New Dispatch button to dispatch an incident.






  6. Fill out the dispatch information. Ensure that the Create NFIRS Notification is selected. Select Create.






  7. Next, navigate to Incident Documentation > Incident list.







  8. Find your incident using the search parameters at the top of the page, and complete the incident report.
