Placing Equipment and Kits In or Out of Service with Apparatus

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to place Equipment or Kits located in Apparatus Compartments In or Out of Service at the same time as placing the Apparatus In or Out of SErvice.

Instruction


1. From within the Assets Module, Click on Apparatus Checks.


From within the Assets Module, Click on Apparatus Checks.



2. Apparatus may be placed In or Out of Service from the Fleet Overview or from inside that apparatus' overview record as shown in Step 4.






3. Select the apparatus that is to be placed Out of or back In-Service.


Click on Engine 1



4. Select the toggle to place the Apparatus In or Out of Service

5. Select whether to Swap, Relocate or Update Status Only.

The steps below will show up immediately selecting "Updates Status Only" or after performing the functions of Swap or Relocate.




8. Note the nomenclature below. Simply put, leaving the toggles ON will also place the listed Equipment and Kits Out of Service, matching the apparatus status.

9. For this example, we will leave the toggle for Equipment On and turn off the toggle for Kits.

10. Click on Save


Click on Save



The screenshot below shows that the SCBA included in the Equipment for which we left the toggle on, was placed Out of Service with the Apparatus whereas the Kit for which we turned the toggle off was left In-Service.


Here we can see that the SCBA included in the Equipment for which we left the toggle on, was placed Out of Service with the Apparatus whereas the Kit for which we turned the toggle off was left In-Service.
