Equipment: Navigating the Equipment Overview Screen for a Specific Asset

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this article is to inform users how to navigate the Equipment Overview for a specific asset in the First Due system.  The Equipment Overview screen allows users to easily view and manage information pertaining to a specific equipment item.

Directions


1. Click on Assets.

2. Click on Equipment Checks.


Click on Equipment Checks.



3. Locate the specified piece of equipment.

- General equipment information will be displayed for the specified asset.

- The Update Record link will redirect users to the Equipment List > Edit Equipment view.




Note: The Equipment List > Edit Equipment view allows users to record detailed equipment information, specifications, and associated equipment data.  Checklists, work orders, fluids, and the equipment logbook are also manageable from the Equipment list > Edit Equipment view. 


- The Last Check field displays the title and date of the most recently completed checklist for the equipment.

- View the work order history of the equipment or create a new work order by clicking the corresponding work order button.

- Create a manual log entry for the apparatus by clicking Add in the Log Entry field.

- Select whether the equipment is assigned to a User, Compartment, Storage, or Pouch and then select the appropriate selection from the dropdown.

- Change the service status of the equipment by clicking the service toggle.

Info: The Time Out of Service clock is a cumulative clock that tracks how long the equipment has been out of service over its lifespan.  Placing an equipment item back in service does not reset the clock; it only pauses it.
