Purpose Statement
The Delete Draft ITM Reports feature allows eligible Business Portal users to remove ITM (Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance) reports that remain in Draft status.
This functionality helps service providers remove duplicate, incorrect, or unnecessary drafts from their report list before those reports are submitted to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Background Information
ITM reports can be created and saved as drafts while service providers complete the required report information. If a draft is created accidentally, duplicated, or no longer needed, eligible users can delete it directly from the Business Portal.
This feature applies only to reports in Draft status on the service provider side.
Important:
- Only Draft ITM reports can be deleted using this feature.
- Once an ITM report is submitted to the AHJ, it cannot be deleted using this workflow.
- Deleted drafts are removed from the Business Portal user interface.
- The provided information indicates that deletion uses a soft-delete process, with deleted information retained in the backend for audit purposes.
- Existing requirements for creating a draft still apply, including having a location and at least one system.
Required Permissions
Users must have one of the following roles:
- ITM Manager - Full Access
- ITM User - Submit Reports only
Users without one of these roles will not have access to the Draft ITM report deletion functionality.
