The video for February's Release notes will be posted on March 3rd.
New Features
1. Allow checklists to be executed on demand and scheduled individually
What: The system now allows the execution of both a scheduled AND on demand checklist separately.
Why: Previously, in the event there was both a scheduled and on demand check for an asset the on demand was the only one that could be executed. Clients identified a need to have the ability to complete both.
How: Create a Checklist Scheduler for an asset for the required "scheduled" time frames, then create ANOTHER Checklist Scheduler with the Schedule Type set as On Demand for the same asset and checklist.
2. Preventative Maintenance Logic- "If/Or"
What: If/Or logic was added to Preventative Maintenance to define conditions under which maintenance tasks are triggered based on either one of the specified criteria being met.
Why: Clients identified a need to have PMs execute based off of a scheduled time OR a triggering factor of an odometer reading or gauge hours.
How: After defining the first action of scheduled or triggered, select the + sign to define the next action.
- The user can add 2 rules (OR logic):
- Triggered - Triggered: i.e. Odometer = 5000 / Engine Hours = 250
- Scheduled - Triggered i.e., Every Year / Odometer = 10000 miles
- Triggered - Scheduled
- Scheduled - Scheduled (not allowed)
Feature Enhancements
1. Create Restock Log for Asset Inventory
What: We added a log to Inventory Management that details the creation, completion, and reversal (revert) of restock actions. This will also show when requests have been completed from request boards.
Why: A need was identified to have a log detailing this information.
How: There are no steps to setup this feature, however, users must have the Assets - Restock List Read Permission enabled for their role.
2. Barcode Scanning within Usage Process
What: We added the ability to scan barcodes in the usage process
Why: This will allow users to quickly and accurately capture item information, reduce errors and improve efficiency.
How: There are no steps to enable this feature.
3. Relocation of "Close" button in work order modal (view mode)
What: The close button was relocated within the work order modal when viewing the work order.
Why: This allows users to easily find and close the modal.
How: There are no steps to enable this feature.
4. Equipment Hyperlinks
What: Hyperlinks have been added for equipment items in compartments, pouches, and storages that direct users to the equipment overview for said items.
Why: This allows users to go directly to the equipment overview while viewing equipment in those sublocations.
How: There are no steps to enable this feature.
4. Station Location in Apparatus Overview
What: A field for Fire Station Location has been added to Apparatus Overview
Why: This allows users to quickly identify what station an apparatus is assigned to. Users that have the Apparatus Update permission will also be able to update the station location from here as well.
How: There are no steps to enable this feature.
