Purpose Statement
This article explains how to complete a reinspection within the Inspections module in First Due. Reinspections ensure that previously identified violations are reviewed, resolved, and properly documented to maintain compliance and accurate reporting.
Background Information
Reinspections occur after an initial inspection identifies violations (failures or citations) that require follow-up. When the system setting is enabled to require reinspections for open violations, users must complete a reinspection before closing out the inspection process.
Key behaviors:
- Reinspections are automatically tied to the original inspection.
- Previous violations are carried forward for review.
- Additional reinspections may be required if violations remain unresolved.
Required Permissions
Users must have:
- Access to the Inspections module
- Permission to view and edit inspections
- Permission to complete inspections and submit reports
