Purpose Statement
This feature allows inspectors to review and, when permitted, change the inspection form before completing an inspection. Reviewing the form before completion helps ensure the correct documentation is used and supports accurate inspection records and departmental processes.
Background Information
Fire departments may use different inspection forms based on the type of inspection, facility, or departmental requirements.
During an inspection, an inspector may determine that a different form is needed than the one originally selected. When the Inspection Type is configured to allow inspectors to change forms, the inspector can review and update the form before completing the inspection instead of restarting the inspection.
Required Permissions
The ability to change the inspection form depends on the department's Inspection Type configuration.
The Inspection Type must be configured to allow the inspector to change the form. If the Form dropdown is unavailable during the inspection, contact your First Due administrator to verify the applicable Inspection Type configuration.
