Purpose Statement
This article explains how to create and manage pouches within a Med Kit in the Medications module. Pouches help organize medications within a kit, making it easier for personnel to locate, track, and maintain medication inventory. Proper pouch configuration improves efficiency during kit checks and ensures medications are grouped logically for field use.
Background Information
Med Kits can contain multiple medications that are often organized into pouches for easier access and inventory management. Each pouch can contain multiple medications, and administrators can configure minimum counts, organize medication placement, and relocate medications between pouches.
This feature helps departments maintain consistent kit organization across apparatus, vehicles, and stations while supporting compliance and accurate medication tracking.
Required Permissions
Users must have appropriate permissions within the Medications module to create or modify Med Kits and their associated pouches.
Typical permissions may include:
Medications Module Access
Med Kit Management (Create/Edit)
Medication Configuration Permissions
Administrative or Supervisor-level access (recommended)
Departments may configure permissions differently depending on user roles.
