Purpose Statement
To explain the setup and functionality of Station View within the Responder Module.
Station View provides a “First Due Station Monitor” that can be configured as a static display. It automatically presents new incident information as it becomes available, along with structure details, responding units, responder statuses, mapping, and Shift Board information.
This feature supports operational awareness in stations, watch desks, and shared command environments.
Background Information
In response to department requests for a dedicated display solution, First Due developed Station View as a standalone monitoring option within the Responder Module.
Station View is commonly used for:
Station bay monitors
Watch desk desktops
Command display screens
Shared operational dashboards
To maintain security and proper system usage, it is strongly recommended to:
Create a unique user account for each station or monitor
Create a unique role with limited permissions specific to Station View accounts
Important Note:
Important: Station View only displays the Dispatch Units and Dispatch Incident Types configured within the user’s Notification (Dispatch Turnout) Settings. If settings are restricted, incidents displayed will also be restricted.
Required Permissions
The Station View account should have:
Appropriate Dispatch Turnout Notification Settings
Scheduling – Access Shift Board (if Shift Board display is desired)
Pre-Planning--Pre-Plans - Read
Best practice:
Assign a dedicated Station View Role
Restrict access to other modules
Configure Dispatch Turnout settings to match the desired display behavior
Permissions are managed under Admin > User Roles.
