In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates, we have broken the Release Notes down by module.
New Features
Rapid Recall
What: We released Rapid Recall, a feature that allows you to create templates and send call shifts with limited clicks.
Why: This was done to improve user experience, as well as to tie in to future expansion into the Command Board.
How: Navigate to Setup > Call Shift Rules > Rapid Recall. Here you can set Templates which include the Qualifier and Message, as well as the ability to override users' notification preferences. To initiate a Rapid Recall, navigate to Call Shifts and click Rapid Recall. You'll then choose your template, ensure the message still applies, and click Send Now.
Use Case: This is extremely useful for those working incident notifications, or immediate needs to cover sick call-outs.
What: We have added the ability for assignments to have no start or end time.
Why: This was per the request of a department.
How: Navigate to Setup > Assignments and edit or create a new assignment. At the bottom, you will be able to determine if the assignment needs a Start and End Time or not.
Use Case: This allows for the management of users with varying start times, ensuring you have the ability to schedule employees when needed.
Unassigned Persons: Max Consecutive Hours
What: Max Consecutive Hours now applies to the users in the Unassigned Persons section.
Why: This was done per the request of a department.
How: When using the Max Consecutive Hours located in Setup, it will now ensure that users in the Unassigned Persons section do not exceed the maximum.
Use Case: This will ensure that you are not utilizing an individual beyond the maximum that they are allowed to work.
Validate or Unvalidate from the Assignment Menu
What: You can now validate or unvalidate an assignment from the Assignment Menu.
Why: This was done to improve the user experience.
How: Navigate to the Shift Board > Assignment and click the three vertical dots. You will see the Validate option.
Use Case: This allows you to validate with ease, instead of having to scroll to the top, the ability is right next to the assignment.
Print Toggle Options
What: The Print options to include Time Off are now permission-dependent.
Why: This was done to ensure that end users could not bypass the Protected Time Off view by printing the shift board.
How: Those who do not have the ability to see the Time Off section of the Scheduling Deputy will no longer be able to toggle on or off the Time Off on the Print Board.
Call Shift Ranking Page Filter by Qualifier
What: The Call Shift Ranking Page has been changed to allow you to filter by qualifier.
Why: This was done to improve the user experience.
How: Navigate to Call Shifts > Ranking. Here, you will see that you now need to select a qualifier to see the list.
Call Shift Ranking Page Filter by Status
What: We added the ability to filter the Call Shift Ranking list by user status.
Why: This was done to improve the functionality of the rankings list.
How: Navigate to Call Shifts > Ranking > and choose a qualifier. Next, choose a date in the future, and at the top, you will now be able to filter by status.
Ability to Change Time Off Types when validated
What: We added the ability to change the Time Off Type, Subtype, and project code when the assignments are validated.
Why: This was done per the request of a department.
How: Navigate to the Shift Board or Time Off Review and choose the time off that you wish to edit. You will only be able to adjust the Time Off Type, Sub-type, or Project Code. The system will not allow you to change the start and end times.
Use Case: This allows for more flexible management of time off requests when the assignments have been validated.
Shift Board Rotation Filter on Unassigned
What: We have added the Rotation filter to the unassigned section.
Why: This was done per the request of a department.
How: Navigate to Shift Board > Unassigned and select the Filter by Rotation button. Next, you can select which rotation you want to filter to.
Use Case: If you need to find the users associated with a particular rotation in unassigned, this will assist you in that endeavor.

Fixes
In-App Right Click Option on Shift Board
What: There was an issue where the right-click menu would appear in an awkward position, limiting you from being able to use all options. This has been corrected.
Call Shift Checkbox Behaviour Consistency
What: This update addresses a UI inconsistency in the Call Shifts Rules screen. It improves rule configuration clarity by ensuring that selecting the ‘Offered’ checkbox disables conflicting status options when List Sorting is set to Rotating, preventing ambiguous or conflicting rule setups.
Trade Approval Consecutive Hours and Time Off Validation
What: This update resolves incorrect validation behavior during shift trade approvals by ensuring that both consecutive hours and pending time off checks apply only to the user who will actually work the traded shift.
View Only Own Ranking Permission Issue
This fix corrects a permission bug on the Mandatory Ranking page where users with the 'View Only Own Ranking' permission could see all users' data instead of just their own. Now, mandatory ranking enforces the same restrictions as Call Shift Ranking for consistent permission control.
Trade Approval Error on Shift Board
This fix resolves an error preventing trade approvals on the Shift Board, caused by an undefined property error when approving trades after the shift has started.
Admin Entered Trades
This fix addresses an issue where admins couldn’t select themselves as a trade partner when initiating trades for other users’ shifts. Now, the logged-in user correctly appears in the "Trade With" dropdown, allowing admins to facilitate trades on behalf of others.
Non-Shift Work Types showing on Time Card
This fix corrects an issue where non-shift work types were incorrectly shown in the time card, even when they had no associated hours.
Start Times After Midnight for Assignments Without Times
This fix resolves an issue where User Rotations in Assignment Without Time (AWT) positions failed if the start time was set at or after midnight. Single Shifts were unaffected, leading to inconsistent behavior.
Clearer Error Message for Shift Movement with Kelly Day Conflicts
This fix improves the clarity of validation messages when performing Shift Movement for users with legacy Kelly Day configurations. Instead of a generic error, users now see a specific message explaining the Kelly Day date conflict.
Push Notifications for Time Off
What: This fix addresses an issue where push notifications were incorrectly sent to all users with the Approve/Deny Time Off permission when the setting “All users with the permission can approve any time” was enabled.
