Release Notes - Scheduling Module

In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates, we have broken the Release Notes down by module.

New Features

Rapid Recall

  1. What: We released Rapid Recall, a feature that allows you to create templates and send call shifts with limited clicks.
  2. Why: This was done to improve user experience, as well as to tie in to future expansion into the Command Board.
  3. How: Navigate to Setup > Call Shift Rules > Rapid Recall. Here you can set Templates which include the Qualifier and Message, as well as the ability to override users' notification preferences. To initiate a Rapid Recall, navigate to Call Shifts and click Rapid Recall. You'll then choose your template, ensure the message still applies, and click Send Now.
  4. Use Case: This is extremely useful for those working incident notifications, or immediate needs to cover sick call-outs.

Feature Enhancements

Assignments Without Time

  1. What: We have added the ability for assignments to have no start or end time.
  2. Why: This was per the request of a department.
  3. How: Navigate to Setup > Assignments and edit or create a new assignment. At the bottom, you will be able to determine if the assignment needs a Start and End Time or not.
  4. Use Case: This allows for the management of users with varying start times, ensuring you have the ability to schedule employees when needed.

Unassigned Persons: Max Consecutive Hours

  1. What: Max Consecutive Hours now applies to the users in the Unassigned Persons section.
  2. Why: This was done per the request of a department.
  3. How: When using the Max Consecutive Hours located in Setup, it will now ensure that users in the Unassigned Persons section do not exceed the maximum.
  4. Use Case: This will ensure that you are not utilizing an individual beyond the maximum that they are allowed to work.

Validate or Unvalidate from the Assignment Menu

  1. What: You can now validate or unvalidate an assignment from the Assignment Menu.
  2. Why: This was done to improve the user experience.
  3. How: Navigate to the Shift Board > Assignment and click the three vertical dots. You will see the Validate option.
  4. Use Case: This allows you to validate with ease, instead of having to scroll to the top, the ability is right next to the assignment.

  1. What: The Print options to include Time Off are now permission-dependent.
  2. Why: This was done to ensure that end users could not bypass the Protected Time Off view by printing the shift board.
  3. How: Those who do not have the ability to see the Time Off section of the Scheduling Deputy will no longer be able to toggle on or off the Time Off on the Print Board.

Call Shift Ranking Page Filters

  1. What: The Call Shift Ranking Page has been changed to allow you to filter by qualifier.
  2. Why: This was done to improve the user experience.
  3. How: Navigate to Call Shifts > Ranking. Here, you will see that you now need to select a qualifier to see the list.

New Rotations

  1. 3 on/ 7 off

Fixes

In-App Right Click Option on Shift Board

  1. What: There was an issue where the right-click menu would appear in an awkward position, limiting you from being able to use all options. This has been corrected.

Call Shift Checkbox Behaviour Consistency

  1. What: This update addresses a UI inconsistency in the Call Shifts Rules screen. It improves rule configuration clarity by ensuring that selecting the ‘Offered’ checkbox disables conflicting status options when List Sorting is set to Rotating, preventing ambiguous or conflicting rule setups.

Trade Approval Consecutive Hours and Time Off Validation

  1. What: This update resolves incorrect validation behavior during shift trade approvals by ensuring that both consecutive hours and pending time off checks apply only to the user who will actually work the traded shift.

Push Notifications for Time Off

  1. What: This fix addresses an issue where push notifications were incorrectly sent to all users with the Approve/Deny Time Off permission when the setting “All users with the permission can approve any time” was enabled.
