Info
In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module.

Current iOS Version

5.8.1

Current Android Version

6.8.2

New Features

NotesNOTE: All new features for February are iOS only.

  1. What: Regional Pre-Plan layers are now available in offline mode.

  2. Why: Many clients depend on Regional Pre-Plan layers for things like fill sites in areas where connectivity is a problem.  Now they will have access to those layers all the time.

  3. How: While in the ArcGIS Street map, simply select the Regional Pre-Plan Layer you wish to view as normal.

Notes
NOTE: More on Offline Mode can be found in this KBA - Mobile Response: Offline Mode

Feature Enhancements

Notes
NOTE: All enhancements for February are iOS only.

  1. What: Ability to select alert ringtones based on the incident type (using Dispatch Incident Group).

  2. Why: To be able to differentiate the type of call being alerted based on the unique alert ringtone.

  3. How: The user simply navigates to: Menu > App Settings > Alert Ringtone  and then, if the user wishes to have the same alert ringtone for all incidents, they select the slider next to "Apply to all".  If the user wishes to have different alert ringtones for different incident groups, they deselect the "Apply to all" slider and select the incident group and the tone they wish to hear for it.

Notes
NOTE: More on Dispatch Incident Groups can be found in this KBA - Dispatch Incident Types: Creating and Customizing

  1. What: Preplan Levels and Preplan Dashboard now easier to view.

  2. Why: Historically, in order to view the preplan dashboard or preplan levels for an occupancy, it took many clicks.  Now it is native in the dispatch or occupancy screen.

  3. How:
    1. Dashboard - From the dispatch or the occupancy screen, to access the new preplan Dashboard, simply select "Dashboard" as before and the new Dashboard will populate.  From this screen, the user has full functionality of the Dashboard, including additional information in Alert Tiles and accessing attachments.

    2. Preplan Levels - To access Preplan Levels, select "Levels" above the Building Story.  A list of levels will appear and allow the user to select among them.

      1. When the dispatch or occupancy window is closed, there will be new "stairstep" icon that will show on the right of the map. Selecting that will open a menu where:
        1. 1 - The displayed level and occupancy address shows.  Selecting this area will center the map to that address.
        2. 2 - Selecting the "G" will bring the map back to the Ground level.

  1. What: Unit status will now show in the window that populates when the user selects the unit on the map.  This only pertains to Unit users that utilize statusing through the First Due app.  This is not the status of the unit from the jurisdictions CAD.

  2. Why: Historically, the only way to see if a unit user was statused in an incident was to open the incident.  With this enhancement, the user can select the unit icon and know what incident they are on and the status of that unit.

  3. How: Select the unit icon on the map and the status and incident address displays in the list.

  1. What: The total number of responders on an incident now shows at the top of the Status Logs of the incident.

  2. Why: With the number of units and users involved in an incident, it can be difficult for an Incident Commander to quickly descern exactly how many responders are involved in an incident.

  3. How: Simply scroll to the bottom of the incident and look in the Status Logs.

  1. What: Three additional zoom levels have been added to the Zoom Level Settings

  2. Why: Users in areas where hydrants are spread out were finding that even at Zoom 7 (13,000 feet), hydrants were still disappearing from the map too quickly.

  3. How: Navigate to - Menu > App Settings > Zoom Level Settings and drag the representative icon to the zoom level desired.

  1. What: The Incident Command List is now accessible in the Mobile App

  2. How: Navigate to - Menu > Response > Incident Command List.  This is one of the lists that allows the user to go into the landscape mode on their phone.

Fixes

NotesNOTE: All fixes for February are iOS only.

  1. In clients with Firefighter Statusing and Tracking deactivated, there was a bug that made users briefly display on the map.  This has been resolved.

  1. When users created a dispatch to an address with text in "Address Line 2" in the app, there was a bug where the city field did not auto-populate.  This has been resolved.

  1. Users may have noticed a freezing of the app while switching Map Style.  This has been resolved.
