  In order to provide you with more detailed information on our updates we have broken the Release Notes down by module. 

Video


New Features

1. Support attaching audio files.
  1.  What: Added support for attaching audio files (MP3) to Fire Investigation Reports.
  2.  Why: Users can attach MP3 files alongside images and documents.
  3.  How: Using the same multimedia icon currently used for documents and images.


2. Support attaching video files.
  1.   What: Added support for attaching video files (MP4) to Fire Investigation Reports.
  2.   Why: Users can attach MP4 files alongside images and documents.
  3.   How: Using the same multimedia icon currently used for documents and images.


3. Ability to search occupancy contacts.
  1.   What: You can now search and import occupancy contacts from Occupancy Records.
  2.   Why: Investigators need the ability to search all the contacts an agency has on file while performing an investigation.
  3.   How: A new "Add from Occupancy" button is available in the Persons Involved section of the Investigations form.
4. Investigations Setup - Narrative Templates
  1. What: Added ability to create and apply Narrative Templates in Investigation reports.
  2. Why: To streamline report writing with reusable content blocks.
  3. How: Templates are mapped to the Narrative Fields within Findings Tab > Conclusion and Fire/Cause Notes.

5. Investigations Setup - Add External Resources
  1. What: Ability to add and manage External Resources (hyperlinks) in the Investigation Setup. 
  2. Why: Enabling quick access to reference materials within an Investigation report. 
  3. How: Fire Investigation > Investigation Setup > External Resources.

Feature Enhancements

1. Increase the max characters allowed for text area fields.
  1. What: Increased max characters allowed from 10,000 to 60,000 characters across the Investigation module.
    1. Exception: The Equipment > Notes field remains limited to 10,000 characters.
  2. Why: Improve usability and ensure critical details are not truncated. 
  3. How: Fields with Increased Limits: 
                                                                             

2. Add "Other Company" Section.
  1. What: Other Company Involved section was added to Investigation Resources.
  2. Why: To improve documentation flexibility.
  3. How: To Add Company, click on + Add Other Company button to launch a modal.
    1. Modal Fields includes optional all input fields and ability to save, cancel or Close.
    2. Data added here is included in Print Forms/Form Builder like the other resources section.
