Feature Enhancements

1. Hydrant Types now in Hydrant Setup

  1. What: Hydrant Types page has been moved to Hydrant Setup as a new tab.

  2. Why: Streamline access management. Access now granted automatically to users that have Hydrant Setup permissions.

  3. How: Hydrant Setup > Hydrant Types

  4. Use Case: Users will not have the ability to manage Hydrant Types directly from Hydrant Setup without having additional permissions.
  1. Note: The "Manage - Hydrant Types" permission has been removed. Access to Hydrant Types is now included in the Hydrant Setup Permissions.

2. Hydrant ArcGIS Sync Tool now maps unmapped items.

  1. What: The ArcGIS Sync Tool now allows you to map any unmapped items during your next sync.

  2. Why: The entities that collect or share data regarding Hydrants are improving also and may have new items that were not mapped in previous uploads.

  3. How: Hydrants > ArcGIS Sync > New ArcGIS Sync > Select any item and map it to any unused data field

  4. Use Case: Your previous ArcGIS file was importing 12 fields of data. Your agency is now importing 14 fields of data and you need to map the new data to a data field.
  1. Note: Editable fields like Sync Frequency, Sync Time, and Hydrant Type will remain editable.

3. Work Order Board Archive Now Active

  1. What: Work Order Board Set-Up now contains a field to enter the number of days you want a work order to remain on the Completed stage before archiving.

  2. Why: To clear up space and streamline work order boards.

  3. How: Hydrants > Work Order Board Set-Up > Archive Work Order

  4. Use Case: Users will be able to determine when they want the work order to be removed from the board and archived. Default is 7 days.
  1. Note: The minimum number is 1 so that when a tile is moved onto the final column (by accident possibly) it does not immediately disappear from the board. If left blank auto-archiving will be disabled.

4. Hydrant Clustering now supported in ArcGIS maps also.

  1. What: The Hydrant Clustering capability released last month in Google maps is now supported in ArcGIS Map view also.

  2. Why: Depending on your agency or jurisdiction, some are limited (or have a better view of maps) to ArcGIS maps.

  3. How: Hydrants List > select a filter OR check the hydrants you want to isolate > click the Map Toggle Icon (upper right corner)

  4. Use Case: You are attempting to locate 4 hydrants you need to test today. The map area is quite busy, making it hard to see the hydrant icon. Toggle over to ArcGIS (Topographic level) and you will be able to clearly see your select hydrants.
  1. Note: You can toggle back and forth between Google maps and ArcGIS without losing your selected hydrants.
