New Features

  • Combined Google and First Due Address Search Component
    • What: Unified address search system that integrates results from both First Due's internal database and Google Maps Autocomplete with visual indicators for different result types
    • Why: Provides comprehensive address discovery eliminating the need to search multiple systems separately, improving response planning efficiency and ensuring no addresses are missed during emergency operations
    • How: Access through enhanced search functionality in Responder View, Preplan Map, and Hydrant Map interfaces - system automatically queries both sources and displays up to 5 optimized results with distinct icons
    • Use Case: Fire/EMS personnel conducting pre-incident planning or emergency response can quickly locate any address whether it exists in department records, Google Maps, or both, ensuring accurate location identification for tactical planning

Feature Enhancements

  • Pre-Plan Organizer Enter Key Search Functionality
    • What: Address search now accepts Enter key to initiate searches in addition to clicking the magnifying glass icon
    • Why: Improves workflow efficiency by following standard web search conventions and reducing unnecessary click interactions
    • How: Type address criteria in the Pre-Plan Organizer search bar and press Enter key to execute search
    • Use Case: Pre-planning personnel can quickly search multiple addresses using familiar keyboard interaction patterns, speeding up the planning process when reviewing numerous properties

Fixes

  • Annotations Geometry Validation - Enhanced data integrity by implementing geometry validation before storing annotation data, preventing invalid spatial data that could impact system migrations and ensuring reliable map rendering across preplan and incident command systems
  • Read-Only User Access 403 Error - Resolved critical access issue where users with "Pre-Plans - Read" permission received 403 Forbidden errors when viewing preplans, restoring proper read-only access with static text display while maintaining appropriate security boundaries
  • Community Connect Data Display - Corrected numeric value interpretation where "1" incorrectly displayed as "Yes" and enhanced field visibility in alert tiles, ensuring accurate demographic and property information for emergency response planning including resident counts and building unit data
  • Hazmat Cloning Error 500 for Outside Area Locations - Fixed server error that prevented successful preplan publication after cloning hazmat entries at occupancies outside the service area, ensuring proper location data handling and eliminating "Unable to submit" error messages
