Navigating the Hydrant List

Purpose

  1. The purpose of this article is to help explain the features that can be utilized in the Hydrants List found in the Hydrants Module.

Directions


1. Navigate to the Hydrants Module then select Hydrants List.

2. From here is a list of all hydrants within your agency but using the dropdown arrow you are able to filter the hydrant list.

When using the search bar located above the Apply / Reset buttons will require a exact address of that hydrant.

3. If your agency has created saved views you are able to select which view to filter your list.

4. Click on the map icon to view the filtered list. Select the upper icon to view in full screen.

Numbers may first appear withing the map but using the + and - to zoom in and out will populate hydrants from those numbers.

5. Selecting the map marker icon from the Location column will display the hydrant on the map.

You are now able to Edit, start a Service Check, Flow Test or Create a Work Order of that hydrant.

6. Columns can also be sorted in ascending / descending order by selecting on the column header.






7. From the Actions Column you are able to:

      Start a Service Checklist
      Start a Flow Test
      Create a Work Order
      Edit any Hydrant information
      Delete a Hydrant
      View Service History






8. When viewing a service history of a hydrant from the Actions column you are able to edit / delete an existing work order, view any service or flow test.






9. Selecting the trash icon to delete a hydrant will create a two step process to proceed.

When deleting a Hydrant you will loose all service checks along with flow test associated with that Hydrant.  For that reason there is a two step process to delete.

10. After selecting the trash can icon you will have to confirm.

11. After selecting Confirm you will be asked to type acknowledge then select the OK button to delete.

12. From the toolbar you are able to create a new hydrant by selecting the New Hydrant button.

13. The Bulk Update along with the Bulk Service buttons will become active after two or more hydrants are selected.

  1. Bulk Update allows users to update multiple hydrants as once.
  2. Bulk Service allows to perform a Service Checklist on all selected hydrants.
  3. You can also bulk delete hydrants using the trash can icon and following the steps to confirm.


The Bulk Update along with the Bulk Service buttons will become active after two or more hydrants are selected.



14. When selecting the Bulk Update button a modal will appear were you are able to choose what field or fields to update then select Continue.

Fields that can be bulk updated:
  1. Fire Zone
  2. Hydrant Zone
  3. Fire Station
  4. Apparatus
  5. Shift
  6. Assigned User

15. Make the changes to the selected fields then select the Update button to apply the changes to all selected hydrants.

16. This icon will download a CSV file of all displayed hydrants.

Remember to select the correct number from the Show to display up to 1000 hydrants in the list.
