Mobile Response (iOS): Navigating the Map

Purpose 

  1. To explain how to navigate the map on the First Due app.

Directions


1. The search bar located at the top allows for you to search for a address quickly. 






2. The Bell icon allows for turning off notifications through the first due app. This can be done:
      - Permanently.
      -Until a select date. 






3. The map will auto-center to your current location when opening the First Due App. 
      -Your current location will be identified by a little blue dot. 






4. If you move to view another location on the map, and need to re-center on your location, select the re-center button. 






5. The North button will allow you to keep north at the top of the map irregardless of which direction you turn your device. 
      - When   is present, the device will rotate the map to be the direction that you are facing. 
      -When   is present, the map will be fixed.  It defaults to the top of the map being North, unless the user manually adjust it. 

6. The Map Layers are identified by this symbol

7. The ruler  allows you to make measurements on the map. 
      -First click on the ruler and it will turn blue.      
      -Second, select the first point on the map. 
      -Finally, select the point you wish to measure to. 
      -The measurement will now appear. 






8. You can continue the measurement as far as needed. 
      -To reset the ruler, re-select the icon.
