Each fire department using First Due has a unique portal URL, and businesses must complete a multi-step registration process to activate their account and gain access to the Service Provider Portal.

No internal First Due permissions are required for external users to register. However, administrative users within the fire department must ensure the Business Portal is properly configured and accessible. The following internal permissions may be relevant for setup and support:

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Navigate to your fire department’s custom Business Portal URL.
Each fire department will have a custom business portal URL
2. Click on Register.
3. Business Information tab will open.
4. Enter the Business Information.
5. Be sure to scroll down to the Business Contact.
6. Once all of the information is entered click Next.
7. Account Information will need to be filled in.
8. Click on Next once the information is entered.
9. Type of Work will need to be selected.
10. Check on Inspection, Testing and Maintenance if that is what is desired.
11. Click on Permits Requests if that is also desired.
12. Click on Next.
13. Review Business Information.
14. Be sure to scroll down to review Account Information and Type of Work.
15. Click on Next once the information has been reviewed or edited.
16. Confirm and Register is the next step.
17. Check I Accept the Terms of Use & EULA once they have been reviewed.
18. Click on I'm not a robot.
19. Click on Register.
20. Business Portal Thank You and one last step in the process.
21. Click on Home.
22. Go to your email to find the activate account confirmation.
23. Click on Activate.
24. Click on Sign In.
25. Enter your Email and Password to sign in to the Service Provider Portal.
