Purpose Statement

The Permit Signature Block allows users to add customizable signature sections to forms created in the Form Builder for the Invoicing Module. This block enables the capture of required signatures from occupancy contacts, inspectors, vendors, or custom signatories, ensuring proper documentation and compliance for permit-related processes. The signature functionality streamlines the approval workflow by providing structured fields for contact information and credentials alongside the signature capture area.

The Permit Signature Block is a specialized form element within the First Due Platform's Form Builder that facilitates signature collection for permit and invoicing workflows. Required Permissions

Users must have the following permissions to create and configure Permit Signature Blocks:

  • Form Builder Access: Permission to create and edit forms within the Form Builder
  • Invoicing Module Permissions: Access to the Invoicing Module where the forms will be utilized
  • Administrative Permissions: Ability to modify form configurations and signature block settings

Step-by-Step Guide

1.  Create a new form or select edit to edit an existing form.






2. Mouse over in the left margin at the current block and select the + sign to add a Permit Signature Block under the current Block.





3.  Select Permit Signature from the dropdown menu.






4. Select "Tune" (#1) and then select "+" (#2) to add a new Signature Block.

5. Signature Options and Credentials for the Inspector Signature Block:
  1. Occupancy Contact:
    1. Name, Contact Type, Phone Number, Email Address, Location as needed.
  2. Inspector Signature
    1. Name, Position, Rank, Badge Number, Firefighter ID, Inspector Number, Inspector Designation, Inspector Phone, and/or Email address as needed.
  3. Vendor Signature:
    1. Vendor Name, Work Contact Type, Primary Phone Number, Email Address, Vendor Address, Vendor Billing Address as needed.
  4. Custom:
    1. Custom Title, Logo, Text in text box.
