The Sign Up for Open Vacancies option in My Shifts allows users to identify and sign up for open scheduling vacancies for which they are qualified. The system displays eligible vacancies based on the qualifiers held by the user, helping personnel quickly identify available staffing opportunities.

Background Information

Within Scheduling → My Shifts, users can see when open vacancies are available on a particular day. The displayed vacancy count represents open positions for which the user holds the appropriate qualifier.

After selecting a day, the user can review the vacancies they qualify for and submit a signup request.

Depending on the agency's configured settings, the request may:

• Be placed into a Pending status for administrative approval.
• Be processed without requiring administrative approval.

Step-by-Step Guide

Navigate to My Shifts

• Click the First Due logo.
• Navigate to Scheduling → My Shifts.

Locate a Day with Open Vacancies

• Review the calendar for days displaying open vacancies.
• The vacancy count indicates how many open vacancies are available on that day for which you hold the required qualifier.

Select the Day

• Select the desired day containing an open vacancy.
• Click Sign Up for Open Vacancies.

Review Eligible Vacancies

• Review the vacancies displayed by the system.
• Only vacancies for which you qualify will be available for selection.

Sign Up for a Vacancy

• Select the vacancy you want to fill.
• Click Sign Up.

• Review the vacancy date and position before submitting your signup.
• Confirm that you are available to work the vacancy before signing up.
• Remember that available vacancies are based on the qualifiers you hold. A vacancy for which you do not qualify will not be presented as an eligible signup option.
